Everyone already has.. Far below industry norm.. Your paying low base in diagnostics and a non reciprocal dx/device higher commission (structure). Pharma has a higher base and a capped far lower bonus. Exact took the reciprocating worst case / low of low between both industries. No win/win ?
Sorry: to put it simpler: we have a Low dx base/low capped pharma commission structure vs a low base (which we have) with ZERO opportunity for an uncapped higher diagnostic/device commission potential
We follow a pharma model only when it benefits Exact Sciences. When I interviewed they told me we aren't looking for pharma mentality! Hunters only! Then they structure everything like pharma: reach/frequency, capped commissions (oh now we aren't going to pay you on bulk orders either! Hire KAMs at a high salary to do a whole lot of nothing). Now we are 'account managers' to 'farm' the accounts. But when it comes to other things, we think we are a device/dx. No holiday between Christmas-new years. No company car. No higher base salary. It's gonna catch up to you Exact! Reps are jumping ship.
