I've been approached by a head hunter for an Ortho sales position. The majority of positings on this board concern me but the recruiter told me that recent changes are positive. My limited research on the VP of Ortho Sales is very limited. Seems like he doesn't have any Ortho experience, what is his management style? Is the target realistic? Any idea of the percentage of reps that crack 100K in total comp?

    Thanks in advance.

Stay far far away from this hell hole.... 5th comp plan to be rolled out at year end.... of course the head hunter told you the changes were positive, their trying to make a dollar too!! The new leadership is a contract director hired by the failing already demoted VP... go figure as to why your research is limited... he is not from the industry...he is a consultant stay away if you value your professionalism and don't want to tarnish your relationships.... trust me it's a circus!!

Most RBM's and TBM's are actively pursuing other opportunities. A consultant was hired to clean the slate and change focus.....again. If you want to further your career or if your goal is to increase your compensation then this is not a good fit. The company takes all of its direction from the headquarters in Germany and they have not proved they are capable of running a U.S. company because they do not understand the market. Truth is we are owned by a private equity firm and the whole point is to sell the company but they are frustrated because they can't get there fast enough. Do some digging, look at Bloomberg etc to get an idea what the outlook will be and the future says they will not be paying dividends. Bottom line, the company is in bad shape.

Consultant was fired! Should have never been hired in the first place. Crazy ass company - stay away.
