His reputation is being put at risk??? He is responsible for the shape of the company today. You make it sound like he is doing the employees a favor for being the CEO of the company when the results are direct factors of his decisions and his inability to be strategic or see out past 60 days. His leadership has helped cause this...his reputation (LOL) is what it is. He was unemployed prior to this...for some time! Remember, Q1 Atherotech was going to be the 5th largest lab. Q2 the Company is in a year of recover....recovery???? Now in Q3-Q4 he is fumbling restructurings with no clear strategy or plan forward. Jim, you need to get of cafepharma and just resign. Reputation....lol...

Wow so much anger and hate. I bet you'd be happier if you left. Your golf game might suffer but we would all be better off. Go away now angry little man. Bye.

Just another test that insurance companies won't pay for. Once they are fully funded they will bring the TF scum in

You're a bitter person. I'd recommend find what makes you happy and go for it. Posting here probably isn't it. But do what makes you happy.

It's exactly the negative lazy attitudes of those here slugging shit downstream that is the real reason behind the funeral pyre formerly known as Atherotech. If you know enough about the internal workings of The Berhman and McClintic Bros circus and the performers in the ring, then you should use your brilliant insight to assist leading this company out of the proverbial toilet. 50% of the workforce either by choice or circumcumstances have had enough sense to have moved on from the train wreck and rise from the ashes...haters gonna hate.

You ever get that feeling we're selling snake oil just to make the big boys fat and happy? I think my conscience is starting to bother me and I'm starting to wonder if Atherotech isn't just another company raping the system. I'm getting the feeling I'm kind a part of a big scam wrapped around one little test and it's a sprint to make as much money as you can before the government shuts us down or the insurance companies wise up and realize how greedy we are. Or, maybe I just drank too much tonight.

. I don't trust management. I believe the test is a good test. A good test. That's it

Just the test by itself can't sustain the company. In terms of minutiae it's the most accurate and predictive lipid testing available but the technology is cumbersome and labor intensive, can't be replicated and put in more than 1 location, and therefore is housed and performed in a way that is fixed and antiquated (shipped to 1 central location). In order to make up for the logistical shortcomings the company employs what amounts to a convoluted and deceptive billing policy, panels with borderline unnecessary tests, and increasing scrutiny from the government across the space that it operates in. Many cardiologists want to order fewer tests, not more, and treat patients with the VAP only but this runs in direct conflict with our company strategy which is to add more and more testing to increase revenue. This company and its business model is unsustainable.

I heard the head of training is leaving, this true? I guess you don't need a training department when you about to shutdown. I bet the billing department could use some help .

This company will never make it.
    Who would actually work there?

QUOTE="anonymous, post: 5586408"]So let me make sure I understand this. You do not believe we can become the 5th largest lab?

Common? Perhaps, but not progressive. Antiquated. Get on board folks. You're living in the past. Your management has got to go. They're not hiring the right people. When you're not hitting the bullseye as often as they are..........time to go.
