    Hey guys,

First post on here, but glad I found these boards. An ex manager of a sales job I had at a furniture store is now the VP of sales for a Compound Pharmaceutical company in Lake Worth, FL. She wants me to come in and discuss joining the team.

23 years old, still working on my bachelors in Business Management, but I have 4 strong years of inside sales experience where I excelled at consistently.

My goal was to get into medical sales after college, but it seems like a foot in the door has already presented itself. Can anyone give me some tips/advice/criticism regarding the industry and being a sales rep? And maybe even more specifically compounding vs generic?

    Thanks!!

Compound pharmacy sales? Sounds so sketchy. If you have nothing better to do might as well but that is not pharmaceutical sales by any means.

Compounding sales were nothing short of amazing over the last five years. The products were fantastic, the insurance coverage excellent. That said, the insurance coverage has largely dried up and I'm sorry to say that you missed the best opportunity most salespeople will ever see. Compounding is all but dead for independent salespeople.
