I see the NYC based position is open. Don't know anything about his company/product. Is this a good company / product to be involved with right now? Seems people on here are not happy about the bonus and the pipeline seems non-existent ?? I have a good position now in pharma, but I'd move for the right opportunity. I know this is CP so the chances of a helpful response are low, but if anyone could share any useful info I would sincerely appreciate it!
Gamunex is the best IVIG on the market but the company is run with a big pharma mentality (although it is Biotech). The position is perfect if you like big pharma and the company is ethical. The challenge is the price of the product and the fact that some lower quality competitors are willing to "buy" the business. If this is a Hospital position then you will be ok as long as you have a few years to commit. If it is a specialty position then you will have a quicker return on your investment. The morale is warm and it is a decent long term company to stay with.
The market is saturated and IVIG is a commodity. It is not true that Gamunex is the "best" product. I would continue looking for other opportunities.
Between 0 and 1,000,000,000. Why would you ask that question on this website? If you got an interview you would know the answer.
And I'm sure that management would never exaggerate the bonus payout to a potential hire, would they?
Managers here have to stretch the truth here because we are no longer competitive - not even close. Grifols is a Spanish owned company with very socialistic tendencies. Gamunex-C, while at one time, was best in class. Now there is no proof that it is any better than the other 10% liquids on the market. And at least two more 10% liquids are due out in the near future. However, this is an easy job with little stress if you can handle mediocre management and mundane messaging.
