I expect MNKD to go further down from here

Diabetics don't even take their pills. Surely, you figured that out in all your days selling diabetes products. If this product really improved compliance, then it might be worthwhile. However, there is absolutely no evidence whatsoever that will happen. All you have is your opinion - I'm sure you're super-smart, but I'll go ahead and side with the physicians who obviously have a drastically different opinion than you. Keep in mind, they are the ones who actually see and treat these patients. I've yet to run into a doc who hasn't heard of it, but very few who see any value in it. My stance is based on evidence, not my hopes or wishes. I have family members with diabetes, and it would be fantastic if a drug that changed everything came along. Maybe someday it will, but this just isn't it. Sorry.

so your proposal is, hey, let's not even try. We know compliance is dismal, and causes billions and billions of dollars in healthcare costs per year, but let's just stay with the status quo, and keep approving more pills that patients won't take. Then, a completely different route of admin comes along, and it's a failure before it's even given a real opportunity. My docs aren't excited about it, so it's a bust, And you know, there's no evidence that the sun will rise tomorrow either, but we all move forward as if it's a sure thing. So while you may be a naysayer and someone who simply can't see anything except what is, I prefer to look at the landscape and see what might be. We shall review this thread in the near future.

You act as if physicians haven't ever seen or heard of Afrezza. They know what it is; they know how it works. How much more of a try do you need before you realize that this product isn't the answer that you think it is? It's been give an opportunity, and it's failed. Your optimism is noble, but, unfortunately, unwarranted.

And, just for the record, there is plenty of evidence that the sun will rise tomorrow (just no guarantees) - as a matter of fact, we know exactly what time it will rise and set. Try again.

In reality the sun doesn't rise at all; it's actually the earth's movement that makes it seem as if it does. Try again. And with that, I conclude that Sanofi did the same to make people like you believe one thing when you sub-consciously know something else. The did as little due diligence as they could to make it seem as if they were trying to move it, when in reality, they were not at all. So yes, when you say that most physicians "know what it is, they know how it works", you're correct to a point. But without support via a good sampling strategy, dtc advertising (or any real advertising), physician education, etc., they will not Rx it, which is obvious. You could have a cure for cancer and it wouldn't make a dent if there's no support behind it. Mannkind now has a dedicated salesforce, and I think they will do better with 70 or so reps than all of the sanofi reps did.

You're not very smart, and you have a strong opinion, which puts you at a severe disadvantage. Keep preaching about things you THINK will happen, with nothing whatsoever besides your biased opinion to back you up. Afrezza is what it is, no matter who is trying to sell it. If you're convinced a different army of sales reps is going to fair dramatically better than the previous one, then you're just kidding yourself. But, good luck with all that. I hope it works wonderfully for you, although I am certain it will not.

And you comments about the Earth and sun are just stupid - as in, 'no shit, Sherlock'. I believe sunrise and sunset are acceptable meteorological terms, and don't require a belief that the Earth stands still while the sun moves around. But, keep trying to be right. Maybe one day you'll say something smart. Not yet, but maybe someday soon.

lol no need to get angry; it's coming out in your posts. they're getting more and more confrontational. Was it the sunrise thing that took you over the edge? I mean, I was correct in what I stated. Either way, just as my opinion is just an opinion, so is yours. What I'm curious about at this point is, if you think it's such a failure and will continue to be, why are you engaging with me on the subject?

Not angry, just slightly annoyed that you're making foolish comments and trying to use semantics rather than an actual valid argument to make any point you possibly can. It's a bit of desperation on your behalf, but your posts are ripe with desperation, so I guess I shouldn't be surprised.

And, I think you've been missing the point all along. Yours is a position of opinion. Mine is a position of fact - I'm using past evidence to make a future prediction. You're ignoring the past and hoping for the future. Very different.

And, since you can't remember back maybe 5 or 6 posts ago when you asked exactly the same question - I'm engaging with you because I want to. I typically enjoy the banter on here, but I'm beginning not to on this thread. It's difficult to go back and forth with someone who ultimately just closes his eyes, covers his ears, and screams at the top of his lungs that it's all going to turn out his way. Like I said before, I wish you were right - my father has diabetes and my wife's father has diabetes. However, there's nothing at all that indicates you are, and everything points towards a continuation of the massive failure that Afrezza has been.

so let me get this straight; you think the drug will be an abysmal failure, yet you spend time to post about it because you like the banter (lol), using "facts" which are, as I stated, opinions. Just like mine. Be that as it may, I want Mannkind to succeed for a very simple reason; to take diabetic treatment a step further into the future. If I lose every penny i have in this company it will have been worth it given I've seen what it can do for someone who's simply not doing well on all of the "great" meds docs are throwing her on, and has gone from being miserable 90% of the time to living life to the fullest. If you call that desperate, then I'm desperate as hell, thank you! So the reason for my being here is obvious and logical; yours is not, unless you have a vested interest in posting these opinions. I know I would not waste time posting about something I was convinced is going to fail miserably. But that's just me. You do have a choice here, you know. Keep wasting your time posting about something you are convinced will fail, or stop wasting your time and revisit this in a year or two. I have it bookmarked.

Sure. I'll come back in a year. Being sales results are considered "opinions" by you, what is it you actually need to see to confirm/deny your pipe dream?

duh, that's what the new sales force is for. to do what Sanofi did not. And since they've essentially just started for all intents and purposes with new samples, titration instructions, targeted call points, etc., the sky is the limit. Which, logically (I guess you missed that part), is why I stated that I'll revisit in a year or so.

Re-visit all you want, my friend. The results are going to be what they already have been: dismal.

"I know you are but what am I" - are what your posts amount to. Again, why put in the effort if your analysis is that everything will be "dismal"?
