Considering the Michigan rep was selling the Invivo bag for over 10 years and is still employed by Invivo, I would have to say that this is a good opportunity. I have seen some very large commissions and also some draws. Its capital sales, but overall its a great company(Philips leaves us alone) and even better people.

This sounds like a Jack Sells talk track! Did he also tell you that unless you have capital installing from the previous rep your first few months you will live off a very low base and a $2k draw?! First 6-8 months can be rough depnding on the terry.

What is the management like? Who is the VP of sales?
Is there quality leadership in place?

Best management team I have ever worked for. From too to bottom they are all class and not afraid to roll up the sleeves. Treated like a privately owned family business

Can anyone tell me about the Orlando opening? Good bad manager? What is the starting salary? Thanks for any input.

I used to compete against Invivo- the prior Orlando rep was Erin - did she go somewhere or stay within the company and move into a different role? She was there for a while. I would say she probably covered most of her accounts with decent coil sales but can't speak to what is happening with patient monitoring, etc.

Someone who currently works for Invivo can provide more insight, but my issue with these folks is they rely very heavily on new/upgrade MRI sales to drive coil sales, and they end up ultimately competing with their "partners" like Siemens, GE, Toshiba. A lot of bridges have been burned when the magnet rep feels they have done all the work and then Invivo steps in and takes deals direct.

Software-wise, they have a pretty comprehensive solution, not the best for all product lines, but at least a decent story to tell which will keep you in front of customers. Prostate MRI is potentially on the cusp of explosion but personally I don't think Invivo is in the right spot to take advantage of where the market is heading.

Any changes with Philips Inovo? Speaking with a recruiter about open Orlando position next week. Seems like the opportunity has been open for a while per this strand. Any new info would be appreciated.

Michigan Opportunity, Stay away, big lie from recruiter. J.S. is full of shit, he talks the position up as if it is a 300-400k opportunity. The problem is even HR is sending out recruitment because the recruiter is lacking real talent because most know this is a shit/garbage position.

One of the above posters mentioned the previous rep is with the company and moved upwards, which is true. He did this early 2013. They made a hire last year for some dipshit who had a B2B background, no industry experience. Territory had little to be desired, pulled off the 2k draw and had little motivation to bust his ass with overnight travel. They ended up firing him because of his lack of motivation. I don't blame the guy honestly, he was lied to from the beginning. Stay away.

Spoke to a recruiter J.S. about a position in Orlando. What is everyone's opinion on this territory, company, and role as of today. Has anything improved? Recruiter claims 250k job in your first year and the guy who was previously in the territory (got promoted) didn't make less than 300k the last two years.

Seems like there has been a lot of turn over in this market judging by this thread.
