What a load of crap post. This place is Big Pharma. Reach and frequency, Hypertargeting, Frequnt Ride Alongs. How in the hell are we supposed to get any work done with a manager breathing down your neck every second?

If you are doing a great job, then having someone ride along should NOT be an issue! If you are unable to focus and require micromanagement, then it might be you and NOT management who has the issue! Perhaps some stimulant medication and ADHD Skills coaching is what you need! Until you prove that you can be left alone, you will NOT be left alone! I don't care where you go to work, your attitude needs to be adjusted, or you will continue to fail in EVERY job you take. To those who complain about the low base pay...you KNEW what you were getting when you accepted the job offer. Going out and leasing a fancy car, renting a fancy apartment and trying to pay school loans right out of college DON'T mix. Try getting some maturity and focus, and you might excel in life, and at Exact Sciences Corporation. Otherwise, you only have yourself to blame, NOT management!!

Having a manger ride along is NOT an issue? Must be a Big Pharma 1995 type manager. These offices are so busy and the last thing they want is a dog and pony show with a manager. This post is the reason reps are leaving and MANY more will leave September 1!!!!! I hate this company and hope it fails.

That's right, SO busy, and the last thing a manager wants, is to 'hand hold' someone who can't sell! It's takes a LOT of time and resources to train someone to do something, they just weren't meant to do. The expectation is that you will work hard, every day, and even on the weekends if you have to, to sell this test to a patient population which sees over 50,000 deaths per year due to CRC. NOT someone, who whines and complains because they have to work hard, and keep management informed! You see, all of that senseless work which some are complaining about, is meant to help you to learn how to sell THIS product. They are metrics, which managers use to gage whether the salesperson is 'getting it', or not. And, when the manager has decided that you are NOT getting it, he/she cuts ties and prepares to 'unload the dead weight' (This includes not returning phone calls after 5pm.).

If you get it, and bust your ass, and can move mountains you will be rewarded in kind, with a stock price which will go to the stratosphere, and make you very wealthy with accumulated options, over time. Or, you complain about how the base pay isn't getting the job done, in your household, and how you have to actually work hard. The choice is yours!

Thanks for chiming in Diane. Your "household" doesn't include a "family" depending on you. I'm sorry did I strike a nerve? Do you regret giving it up for a career? Maybe some of your insane managers do too? Some of us actually have to be selfless and make decisions for 2, 3, 4+ other humans. Get over yourself.

You have to sacrifice things to get what you want in life. I love my job and EXAS comes first in my life.

Accumulated stock options.... Like 100 shares? While Conroy, Maneesh, and the whole board gets up to 200,000 shares. Fuck you and I hope this company fails. I hate working here.

Then do us all a favor and take your sorry attitude somewhere else. May god have mercy on the souls who have to deal with your negative pouty pants attitude.

Big pharma 1995? You're showing your a young, entitled moron. 1995 was still the glory days of pharma. It was a decade later that you think you know about...

Well, showing their age by the 1995 - big pharma quote, and the whole "I hate this company and I hope it fails!"

Sounds Just like like my 3 year old when she's mad.

I can see this rep holding their sippy cup, having cracker crumbs on their face, unkept hair and tears running down their face while they throw themselves on the ground crying on cafepharma with that comment.
