Another lawsuit against Ameripath this week

Another lawsuit filed this week! Anybody know what this one is about?

The National Sales meeting with DermPath and Ameripath, is going to be quite interesting.

 

From what little I can tell via Google, it's a class action suit involving wages and the Fair Labor Standards act. Something about not receiving bonuses or overtime as described by management.

 

What exactly is this suit about?

That's now 5 filed lawsuits. Get a clue Quest, "there's seems to be a problem Captain".

 

I work for the competitor in Dallas, where Ameripath had a meeting at the Omni last week......overheard all the complaining at the bar, dinner and the breakfast....wow!!

 

What were they complaining about?

 

The people in Dallas have nothing to complain about. All nicely cared for.

 

Why were DermPath and Ameripath having a NSM together? I don't work for either but I find that odd. I know a sales director at DermPath and she is a class A - well you get the picture. She is connected to Quest.

 

Everybody at Ameripath/Dermpath Dx is connected to Quest, since Quest bought them out in 2007.

 

Ameripath South Florida (Pompano) is perhaps where this lawsuit originated from because of the blatant favoritism. Those employees that are productive receives poor treatment verses the mediocre technicians that decides when they feel to do work. There just isn't a balance in the work meaning the productive tech who works an eight hour shift can complete as much as 400 to 500 blocks embedding or 300+ cutting and the mediocre tech is allowed to complete his or her shift with only doing a third of that. Someone has to put a stop to this injustice. The management/supervisor are incompetent and tends to make asinine decisions day in and day out. Many have left the company based solely on this imbalance. An internal investigation is highly needed.

 

Just because you can cut and embed a lot of blocks doesnt mean it quality work...Oh yea I forgot, quality doesnt matter at sweatshops. Are there a lot of recuts on the productive techs work?

 

Passion for patients my ass! shut up and embed your blocks and cut them blocks. all the derm labs are sweatshop labs. umm... I remember my 400 blocks and 300 blocks days... umm.. there should have been a lawsuit about the fraternization that was also going on..

 

Is DB still the director there? And what about the ops mgr, CB?

Marcie Albanesi at Quest/Ameripath in Shelton is running that place to the ground. So many people have left. The place is now under investigation by OSHA because she held back safety equipment from the staff and when mandated to post the OSHA fine notice she lied and posted part of the document. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. SHE WILL RUIN YOUR CAREER OR WORSE SHE WILL HARM YOUR HEALTH.
