    Greetings-
I have been out of work since the GSK layoffs in 2015, having a one month stent at a small pharma company but walked out after I made a mistake and was subsequently perp-walked in front of the entire management team as well as getting cussed out. Instead of suing, I just left. I have 14 years of commercial operations experience in the pharma industry. I'm 39 with no degree and cant get an interview after 9 months of applying. I have tried just about everything, and I am having no luck. My resume is fine according to my recruiter buddies, but each time I apply I get an email within a day or two that say they are looking at more qualified candidates. My question is, am I being blacklisted or is it the degree?

Unfortunately you do need a Bachelor's Degree to work at any Big Pharma company. I would say career change time. Look into other things. Pharma sales sucks anyways there is absolutely no stability and it is not what it use to be.

Stop applying to Pharma and look at small device companies. They're much more about experience in operations. If it's sales you want, get your degree. Your resume is sorted out for the lack of one (never seen my internal recruiters). How did u get a job at GSK without one?
