Do you know anyone at Spark Therapeutics

I see that they have a lot of positions opened. And some of these have been open a long time. Does anyone know what is going on there? The website hasn't changed in a long time and they seem to have trouble on the quality side. Stock price is on a continual down turn.

I'm trying to find out about the culture. Any information? I hear salaries are low and the commuting costs high. But if anyone has some inside information, I would appreciate it.

Been asked to interview, but don't want to waste my time if it is as bad as the posts here say it is.

It is pretty bad. All the execs think about is when to sell and cash in their stock. Everything is focused on "making things look good". Even mislead the public on the #1 treatment drug that "wears off". So it is not ONCE. Executives not experienced in running companies... most came from large organizations or academia. Some one said "academics playing adults".... No communication at all. HR is way overstaffed and undertalented so good candidates see through it.

But form your own opinion, ask questions about these things and see how they respond. Unless you live in the city or earn the money that the execs do; the salary and benefits do not live up to the hype. The other alternative is to join; stay for whatever experience you can get out of them and jump... that's my plan... there are only so many times you can deal with the crazies.

Good Luck ... let us know what you decide.

Yep the studies are showing ONCE is not enough. It's going to be very difficult to price a drug which only works on part of the retina for an unknown duration when other drugs are coming out for the entire retina in this disease space which have a more defined periodic dosing schedule. I can't wait to watch these morons get hammered with insurer coverage as they deserve it. Who's going to pay for gene therapy that doesn't do the job with any consistency? There are a few good people there but they also have several clowns there leading the downward spiral.

My popcorn bowl is being readied as are my short sales on Spark to sit back and watch their demise. It's going to be fun!

After I met some of them this was an easy short sale decision. Like shooting fish in a barrel.
