Anyone know when they will start to build out the sales division?

If and when that happens, you being this clueless would not qualify...

None of the CAR-T's are close to commercializing. Kite unfortunately is Amgen South so be ready for a very big Pharma culture. Mist likely won't file until 2017.

Anyone know why Kite hired Elizabeth Faust and clearly remains focused on hiring current or ex-Amgen "talent" only? This individual (EF) has a checkered history and has been known to wreak havoc on Med Affairs / MSL teams during her revolving door job history with 4 different companies now over the past 7-8 years or so.

Why would an immuno-oncology company hire someone with limited to no expertise within the immunology realm who has a reputation of job hunting and switching every 2-3 years to build out the most critical function in their business at this stage of development?

Beyond issues with commercializing and scale-up, these types of hiring decisions bring into question the true leadership of Kite. There are lots of "tools" in our industry. They have the opportunity to hire people who aren't "looking" versus folks like EF who create issues and then bolt companies every few years.

    Perplexing.

Why do replies continue to bash successful people? Seen on every board of the most sought out companies. Check Kite Celgene Amgen to name a few. It's seriously pitiful haters who work in the industry. It's all 100% pure jealousy that simple.

Reply yesterday is clearly EF or someone defending this incompetent, incapable, non-leader who self-promotes and clearly knows and "takes care of" people at small biotech companies who she reports to in order to gain these roles. She is self serving and has single handedly corrupted / ruined other MA/MSL teams in previous roles. She is typical "Amgen" DNA ... meaning a generalist at best and incompetent to a large degree to comprehend what it takes to be uber successful in the immune-oncology field. She will dart Kite in 2-3 years ... management will either question their decision to hire an employee with a checkered, revolving past or they will enjoy the few years she's around kissing butt, etc.

Read between the lines jackass. Don't post if you don't know the history and stick up for trolls in our industry. The self serving approach has no place in biotech. It's about the patients we serve and are trying assist with improved quality and quantity of survival with great medicines. Kite has a solid portfolio, but in the wrong hands ... even good medicine goes bad.

    Hey,

I recognize this prick by the way he writes! This asshole used to also post on the Celgene board. He/she either used to work for Celgene or is a stupid fuck who has nothing better to do with their time that to bash any and everyone that posts.

So go ahead you dumb fuck give it your best shot. I know you will, you stupid, no-brain, dickless, meaningness, asshole! The only troll here is you....LMAO

Well, the abbreviations and acronyms used in your reply post summarize your limited IQ which hovers around 40 at best.

Let's see ... where do I start - I never worked at Celgene and in fact know EF's history going back to her time at Amgen.

Keep the expletives coming. Enjoyable. Love calling a spade a spade ... in essence it's folks like you with limited IQs and lack of ethics that give the biotech industry a bad name.

Have a good week Mr(s) Low IQ.

I have an interview lined up for the Tuesday after labor day. Anyone else getting interviews?

Opted out of Kite. Applying my energy for interviews with Juno. Better MSL team leadership. No toxic, incompetent leadership like EF. Good luck.

Wow. Someone didn't like being managed out by EF. Move on and prove her wrong by actually contributing to or building something.

I haven't worked with EF in a while but when I did she was solid and I would have no reservations working with her again. Really strong Oncology background and doesn't mind rolling up her sleeves to get the work done. As for the multiple companies you forgot to mention that most of those were bought out prior to her leaving. Amgen (long tenure) > Gloucester (bought by Celgene) > Celgene > Pharmacyclics (bought by Abbie) > Abbie > Kite. Given that she started with Amgen during the golden days this is a pretty stellar track record.

EF was not stellar in my experience at Pharmacyclics. You're experience was clearly different. Perhaps PCYC wasn't for her, but she was directly responsible for a major implosion of the MSL force there and they are still recovering from her negative impact. Perhaps she found some former Amgen homeys and will be better off at Kite. Seems like Amgen all over again.

Agree with previous post. EF was not a good fit for PCYC and she clearly wasn't the type of manager I'd ever work for again. Fortunately, things are settled now at PCYC and with EF at Kite, the MSL and Medical Affairs teams will be in much better shape. Glad Kite has her ... we needed a break!

Haha! So funny how reality really sucks when it smacks you in the face or should I say the ars! The reality is that others who have posted factual comments on here about EF are correct. Life has never been better since she walked onto "greener" pastures. PCYC wasn't a fit for her and vice versa. Good riddance EF! Hope you don't screw up the MSL team at Kite, that would simply be too bad for the people you hire (eg., your ol' Amgen buddies). :)

I have first hand experience reporting to EF. I would not recommend taking a job with a company where she is employed. I would strongly recommend against it. The company will be successful, probably be bought and she along with the rest of the employees will make a lot of money. Risk versus benefit.

Accusations of "you're just jealous of her success" to those who have shared negative feedback on this post are childish.

When are the hiring? Will they hire before approval?

If you are currently with Amgen and/or used to work with EF and happen to be buddies, please apply online. EF only hires overqualified, higher level degree folks who underperform so that she doesn't look bad. Haha!

Anyone who works for Amgen is worthless. Their best people are subpar every where else.
