As a sales rep would you rather work for Wright or Stryker F&A? Pros/Cons?

Both are great companies. Wright is losing a lot of money every month. Stryker is a much larger company and is on more contracts. If it were me I'd go with Stryker. Also, Wright is about to be purchased by Depuy Synthes.

Both are good organizations. You would have to look at the contract makeup within your defined territory, market penetration ect. It is a difficult question to answer in general because so many variables affect the answer. Plus, what will be your commission structure, are you going to be a sub-rep, or a senior rep with your own territory, are you W-2, 1099. Don't think you can go wrong with either one.

I left Wright for Stryker and am much happier. Culture, benafits, support are superior. Soon their won't be a Wright. Depuy is supposably buying them.

Where are these rumblings coming from in regards to j&j buying Wright medical? i have seen nothing of the nature in print or from reps who work for j&j.

Damn! I guess it can't be true then. The reps would always be the first to know.

Wright is a far superior organizayshun. Our stuff is much nicer too. I started off in SPD at my local hospital and was offered an ASR position. I like Wright.

Stryker focuses time and effort on actual sales in the real world. It's called innovation!

Wright focuses on sales force GPA and other mundane time wasting activities that are vital to their "Yes Sir" activities within the corporate hierarchy of supporting failing policy, so as not to loose their redundant jobs. Or in other words, it's important to ass kiss and support some of the stupidest policy ever crafted by people totally outside the industry just to keep their jobs.

If by innovation you mean acquisition, then sure. I would hardly characterize a 24 year old TAR platform as innovative. I do agree with you regarding GPA, micromanagement. However, it comes down to managing those above you. If you can do that effectively then it becomes a tool to use, if it is treated as check the box activity, then its a complete waste of time. As sales people we are all tasked with hitting a number, regardless of company.

Stryker F&A is killing it. As a former Wright rep I can tell you that we all knew that one or two reps at Wright that crushed it. Well MOST of the reps at Stryker are like that. It's like college football. A few teammates may make it to the pros. I guess that's what I'm saying. Wright is still playing college ball and Stryker is getting paid!

I could have told you that years ago when I worked there. In the Northeast area alone 90% of the reps haven't got a clue how to sell the product/service. I curious how many are still there. Is Goulet still the sales manager. Nice enough guy but hasn't got a clue
