Interviewing now with the company and after reading these boards I'm wondering if it's a waste of time. I'm currently unemployed due to layoffs so I need a job however I don't want to make a bad career move. Any thoughts are appreciated!

Depends on whether you have a severance or not. If I were you I would still interview but still continue to look for other opportunities. When you get another offer, take it! Don't worry about screwing Egalet over if you leave during training. Trust me, they they have screwed over reps, shareholders, doctors and patients and they wouldn't blink once if they had an opportunity to screw you over too. There is no such thing as loyalty or ethics when it comes to Egalet.

Yes, if you are unemployed, keep interviewing with Egalet, and if you get hired, you'll have a paycheck while you continue to look for better opportunities.

Many of us got hired about a year ago on the promise of exciting new formulations of morphine. The lead candidate was Arymo ER which was FDA approved last week. Unfortunately the label sucks as you can read about elsewhere. Not surprisingly morale is very low. Pay and benefits are bottom quartile for the industry as you may expect for a branded generic company. The company has missed revenue forecasts throughout 2016 so bonuses are poor to zero. The head of commercial ops, Pat, who was appointed recently, is OK personally but knows little about our business. His last gig was selling cheap testosterone patches. Our CEO, Bob Radie, has never run a successful commercial operation, has little credibility now and the rumor is that he'll be fired soon due to consistent poor performance - in addition the company is under investigation for securities fraud.

So if you need a paycheck for a few months than come and join us. We should be going somewhere cool for the Arymo launch this quarter. The company just got a $40 milion loan to launch it. Most of us are looking to move out.

"exciting new formulations of morphine" I think I just peed my pants. Hey bro, what's exciting about a 100 year old drug? You must be one of the B2B morons.

I'm in southern NJ and a recruiter mentioned this company as 'local and dynamic'. It's based in Wayne, PA. Reading this forum and checking out Google, WSJ and The Street it looks like it's in a tailspin. The stock is down 70% on the year even after FDA approval.

    Obviously 'avoid'.

Saying we are in a "tailspin" is a nice way of putting it.
