Looks like Elanco has made their selection of BI employees and it appears they have scraped the bottom of the barrel! Big E is getting ready for a rude awakening if they think their salesforce plus the few morons they brought over will be able to keep the momentum of the BI vaccines going.... Add to the fact that comfortis and trifexis are on the decline doesnt really help much either. Then add to the fact that Lilly will be doing layoffs due to their recent human pharm failure I doubt the elanco reps will be making anything more than base salary next year! Ouch!!!
I disagree that they took the bottom of the barrel. They took reps only where they had open territories from what I understand. It makes no sense because they had the ability to hire anyone they wanted from BI. Their loss. You're right though, they will lose the momentum with the vaccines. Zoetis is going to swoop in with their F-ing VGP and steal all the big accounts- those that didn't get stocked up for 6 months that is......
Jealous? Sorry you didn't get a spot with Elanco. It's not our fault. Your company decided to do the deal with Sanofi and sell YOUR livelihood. Elanco did nothing wrong. We really didn't even need any new headcount but we did take some. You should be made at BI. Good luck in getting retained long term. I hope you do, but you and I both know there is a lot to sort out.

Newsflash- Zoetis has already lined up 3 big bi vaccine clinics in my territory to take after the first of the year. And big E thought their no vaccine experience reps could maintain, better yet grow these vaccines! Good luck with that and enjoy your base sallary next year!
