I am moving back to the Northeast and thinking of applying for a sales rep job for lower extremity at Wright. Can anyone tell me how the sales management is, compensation, perks and fellow reps. I heard they cleaned house awhile back and hope it has gotten better

All I can say is good luck. It is one of the most competitive locations. Cut throat. One doc leaves to go to another hospital and the curren rep thinks they should follow him. There is a rep there that is pimping herself throughout all of mass and surrounding states because she cannot fathom the idea of giving up a buck
I used to work with them and I can tell you first hand...try a different location

Don't you mean Depuy Synthes? The ink is drying on the acquisition documents and they're announcing at ACFAS. And by the way, that announcement.....will be HUGE!

Can anyone please answer a question like adult. I am asking professional questions here, and people are coming back with sixth grade answers that have nothing to do with this thread.
I ask again...does anyone know if the northeast area sales job is a good move? Is it as competetive as they say, are there already reps in place? I hear there may be a reorg with some of the reps

You need your head examined if you want to join this piece of shit company.

Hope that was helpful & mature enough for you.

Look- here is the deal, there are changes in compensation taking place here and the entire sales force is nervous, hence the majority of the responses.

The NE is an historically difficult market to crack and contracting is making it inherently difficult to maintain/seek access to larger hospital systems. This is going to be a very common theme regardless of which company you work with.

I don't know you, you don't know me, my advice would be to apply, go through the interview process and ask the questions of the hiring authority, determine if you fit well within the confines of the team and the management structure. The grass is not always greener on the other side, it needs to be a fit for you, and only you can answer the question on lifestyle, pay structure and workload. Hope that helps.

I worked in the massschusetts saleslocation prior to all the BS that everyone is talking about and pre Palmisano and things were ok. Now the regime is totally different. Cut throat and egomaniacal. Sales manager that Earhart was there about six years ago is nice enough, but not too knowledgeable about product. There were a couple of reps that would sell their mother for a sale.

You will rue the day you ever join wright. An absolutely miserable company with no organization, direction, or leadership.

do they turn over reps there quite a bit? Heard there was a shakedown and some have gone and there is more going. Any truth to that?
