Can anyone tell me what is going on with this division? Interviewed several times for a position end of last year, then told it was down to me and another candidate then week later told the job was put on hold and they would get back on the status of the position, etc... That was over a month ago. Also found out that the other candidate hasn't heard a word as well. WTF??

They do not care one bit about getting back to you. No matter how good you might have connected in an interview, these people care about themselves only. Little emotional intelligence and no common courtesy. Sad fact.

It's Medtronic. They typically move at a snail's pace when hiring. I don't think it's exclusive to just RTG.

The RTG VP's are all asses you do not wish to work. I wouldn't touch this job with a 100 ft pole.

Can you be a little more specific?

There are 3 or 4 RVP's out of the 12 that are great and actually care about the business. The other 8 are disciples of Roy Gavin. IMO this is where the problems starts. Roy, the leader of RTG, doesn't know how to grow business markets, or understand to sell. He only knows how to manage cost and expenses (wonder why we missed sales revenue by $100 mil last quarter? Wonder why physician training courses have been cancelled, training budgets cut SER programs dismantled?). These 8 RVP's disciples do not have the skills to manage a 7-11 store!! This is why we continue to lose experienced reps daily. No leadership or communication from the top. A great example are teams in the southeast where ALL of the pain and or spine reps in large local or full state areas quit and take all the business to competitors.

Good luck with that interview, its a great environment to work in daily!!

is neurovascular a part of rtg? Is this a good place to be now or just like spine and pain these days?

Do you think Tate in the SE is one of the "decent" RVP's? I have seen absolute chaos in my time here in the Southeast. Besides pure lack of business acumen, major legal and ethical issues at the DM level also. Just under 50% turnover in my state in a few years with average rep having double digit tenure. When that business leaves it does not come back.

I want to know what these RVPs do on a regular basis? DMs too...what the heck are they doing all day? They're never seen, never heard from unless someone from corporate spits out the numbers, whether good or bad and then they might chime in. They might just have the easiest most welled paid jobs on earth.

RTG is mess. Management provides no real leadership. You are nothing but a number in this company. Management only cares about hitting a number and will only contact you at the last week of the quarter to ask for revenue. Pay is terrible given the amount of work Medtronic expects. The backstabbing, lies, and incredible amount of turnover is unprecedented. I continue to see so many quality people leave. There are much better companies out there. Don't be fooled by the name.

Tate, is good and means well but is limited by Roy. Candice, Jim and Dave work hard. Michelle is horrible and is in WAY over her head. She doesn't even live in the region she manages (She lives in Dallas). I have heard she flies into a certain city for meetings then takes her personally friends to meals on MDT's dime! The Midwest is open. Gary in FL is ok .

If I were a pain stim or pump SER or CS I would be worried and looking for a job.

Well, the 2017 RIF just happened in RTG yesterday. Some of the cuts make sense and others leave me scratching my head. Once again a hollow email from Roy about these tough decisions. What a joke! How about alittle bit of LEADERSHIP!!!!

I see 2 jobs posted in Frindley that interest me- both with job title Principal Clinical Evidence Specialist. Anyone know about these jobs...and how this all fits with RIFS? (one in brain modulation- posted in April-, one on RTG- pain therapies)-posted at beginning of May.
