Anyone have any thoughts on the hundreds of people let go recently? Our AVP was one of them, and a good guy.

They are centralizing. Starting to streamline the merger.

  3. streamlining the merger my ass...piss poor management makeing stupid decisions that impact the lives of those that actually come to work everyday with intent to add value. Instead, walked to door and back filled with an inexperienced dope smoking contractor or some innocent kid on a H1B work visa just looking for a better life. no way in hell current buisness model is sustainable with the C player clowns at the helm. No streamlining about it mate... GREED

You hit the nail on the head! Management will take us down. No one is truly in charge. The true merger results are about to become a reality. Starting to lean us out. Since I have worked for this company for over 40 years, I have seen many management styles. This is the worst I have ever seen our company run. I cannot count how many times they have tried, just in time, lean management . WAKE UP. It doesn't work. You cannot keep firing experienced workers for entry level ones. There is value in experience and loyalty to a company to totally disregard it as an equation to business success is a recipe for disaster. All you see since the merger is no integrity, No responsibility and absolutely no respect for seasoned employees.

I figured firings would be the natural progression post merger. When I heard they let CC go in Sports I was shocked. The fact that he landed on his feet so quickly should tell them something. You can't just fire the more expensive personnel without repercussions, sometimes they are worth it...

Not sure who CC is but glad to hear the success story post "ZimmerBiomet" cluster fuck. Suprised to hear of such a quick win given the restrictive non-compete we were forced to sign.

The purchase should never have happened, bad for both companies and devastating to a community. DD and his irish mafia need shown the door whilst there is something of a company left.

The beginning of the downward spiral. So much for the luck of the Irishman. Better start kissing your blarney stone goodbye..

The grass really is greener. Left a couple months ago. Got paid more and the political bullshit is about 1/10 (probably less) than the debacle of Zimmer Biomet. It was a scary step to take but my God it is so worth it, did not even realize how miserable I had become at the ZBH shitshow. Good luck to all of you that are still there.

    ZBH is a joke.

Great comeback! I am crying laughing.
Answers as clever and well thought out as that are exactly why the smart ones are leaving.

Locusbots are being tested in South Haven to replace sales reps and office personnel. See the Bloomberg article by Clark & Bhasin.
DDs real goals are becoming obvious.

Come on, man. Locusbots are used for retrieval of boxes. They're warehouse robots. Surely you add more value than that in the OR? Maybe not...

Get box order. Go get box. Show box to surgical team. Give box to nurse to open. Go get restock box. Put restock box on shelf. Wait for next box order.....
    Kind of like that?

I think you hit the nail on the head. It IS like that...especially if you are with ZB. Templating? Doc, what do you think? Maybe digital templating can do it for me? Hey rep, should I take 2 more on distal femur if it's tight in flexion? Uhhh, if you think that's correct doc, I agree with you.

Have never been impressed with Z reps in my area, and they have yet to convert a doctor without a forceable sole or dual vendor contract issue in over a decade of work. Talked to a rep yesterday that was optimistic about his territory because a new doc was moving there already using. Sounds like how most reps meet quota for the big blue Z. Couldn't sell a glass of water in the Sahara. Bring no value to the OR except a warm body and knowing their left from right, and how to open the seal on the box.
