What should I do? My DM was very rude on his latest field day by telling me to turn off my radio because my car radio station played hip-hop music. Mr. DM basically yelled "turn off that gangsta rap"! I told him that the music was from Drake and he is not a "gangsta rapper"! He got all red in the face and turned off the radio himself! We made several more calls and I dropped him off at his car. He did not say one word to me about the field day. I am afraid that he will give me a poor rating just because I like certain music. I am thinking of calling HR and possibly HQ management (e.g., Lutz). We are all trying are best to prevent further sales losses and we definitely don't need prejudicial management.

DM should be promoted. And you should be .....Oops WAIT.....thats right .....you dont even work here ... My bad.... Keep the fairy tales coming BRO.

Write down everything that occurred with your manager. Send your report to HR to establish a paper trail should your DM start to mess with you. Don't send it to senior management because they will then try to get rid of you. HR is the way to go!

 

similar situation for me - Hcv DM demanded to listen to Rush Limbaugh! I told him I hate conservative talk radio & he said too bad, I am your boss! Just went with flow but I will record all future conversations with this right wing wacko.
