jnj needs to figure out how to salvage the over payment of synthes. I would even predict you see jnj sell off pieces of synthes to make room for any possible acquisition.

Wright's not going to be bought. Wright's going to continue an acquisition strategy.

And RJP will be st the helm for at least five more years.

Ok I'll bite. How does this work then? Who will they acquire and how will that position them to compete in bundle pricing in the facilities that has come ultra aggressive? I hate the industry has moved in this direction but as an employee of Wright I just don't see the ability to stay competitive without a more comprehensive portfolio for bargaining power.

WMGI absolutely will be sold. The Tornier merger was a calculated measure to create the premier extremity company....which it is.... making it extremely attractive to the four horsemen: J&J, ZB, Stryker and S&N as a take out target. Now that the merger is 3 years old, this is the year it happens. The unmentioned dark horse is MDT. They may take out S&N and WMGI in one move to ante up unless S&N is sold off in pieces which is also a strong possibility.

when the stock hits 40 is what I've been told and usually these things happen in July at mid year.

As far as this place never being right about this sort of thing I completely disagree.

Dude, your theory has a few holes in it. If JnJ really wanted to purchase Wright, they wouldn't wait until the price per share increased to $40. They would make an offer now at ~$31 per share. Hmmm?

Actually, that is not how it works at all... Perhaps, someone or some entity knows what is happening thus driving stock up. Moreover, the offer price is probably being locked up now. If the stock gets run up a bit then acquiring company looks smart for not overpaying. In the end, it's sophisticated gambling..

Still waiting for that big announcement.

Funny how these Wrong Medical Cafepharma threads are filled with prediction after prediction after prediction ad nauseam about who's gonna buy this company, and yet, not one of these prognostications has ever been right. Not once.

The prognosticators have to be right only once. You have to be right every time. Good luck playing that game.
