I heard from a reliable source that Cyberonics is being turned into a "Cash Cow" to fund Sorin's upcoming Trial of Vagal Nerve Stimulation in the USA
    Any truth to this ?
New here, but I don't like what I'm hearing.

First, Cyberonics isn't a "Cash cow" funding Sorin's upcoming trial- because both companies share $ now, as they have merged and are LivaNova.

Second, I don't like anything I hear about Cyberonics. This company has a horrible culture and horrible ethics. Almost everything they do is illegal.

Poor choice of words on my part. The rumor was/is that LivaNova is putting all it's efforts into a device trial for VNS/Heart Failure. Is that what people on the inside are seeing ?

Turns out this post was spot on. They are making huge cuts to commissions, raises and even car allowance from the Cyberonics sales force to try and keep that pig Sorin afloat. That's just the sales force, who knows what they're doing back in the corp office to the employees that don't work in the field. Rumor has CHF is dead in the water. Dan Moore sold us out.

If Sorin was sold a bill of goods about VNS for CHF then shame on them. Everybody in this industry knew CardioFit was a dud and worked on the same premise. Look were that went! Your old CEO sold you and Sorin out. He wins you lose...quit your complaining. Game over

Any one who knows anything about Sorin or Cyberonic's should know that everything about both of those companies is crooked. Sorin US was just a money laundering scheme that didn't care if they did anything in the US. I should know, I just flew around and spent money like it was water and no one cared. I'd take ski trips, take long vacations and bill the company. As long as they could contact me I was golden. The management is a joke, in the US and in Europe. The French which they had never seen the Italians. Andre Michele Ballister is the biggest crook of them all.

Sorin found a company stupid enough to believe their bull shit and Cyberonics bought it. They deserve each other. I got a call yesterday for a device check and I haven't worked for them in 3 years. That was in one of the largest cities in the country with no rep.

These guy are as bad as it gets. Run like HELL. Just having this on your resume will FUCK YOU in the future.

I can’t agree more with you about this, also horrible people working for Cyberonics throughout the nation. But Cyberonics can’t even try to put the patient first. It’s an illegal money market.
What I witnessed during my short term employment with them got to the point I just quit. Because I actually care about patients and especially ones with epilepsy or seizures disorders- it’s been a couple years since I’ve worked for them- and about 75% of the neuro or surgeons I’ve worked with don’t have a lot nice to say about VNS- I hear a lot about how they don’t even believe in the heart rate detection. (A handful will be believers and would swear on their monthers life VNS is a godsend)

I've been with Cyberonics(now Livanova) for awhile and I agree there are some real shits at the top of this organization but this just sounds like a disgruntled employee who couldn't cut it or was in a bad regional situation. The therapy works and there is a ton of data to support it, much of it independent. Providers continue to refer patients for implantation based on their positive clinical experience. 90,000 Americans have been implanted with VNS over the last 20 years. No way is that happening with a handful of neurologists. There are a lot of crappy managers and any job can turn into a shit show if your boss is an ass. It sounds as if you got stuck in a crappy region who has created a negative experience for many of the providers. There are very few reasons why a patient with refractory epilepsy shouldn't consider VNS therapy. Don't go putting BS on the boards just because you couldn't turn things around with your negative experience.
