I am friendly with a long time Wyeth now Pfizer vaccine rep. Pfizer recently rolled out a new plan to sell P13 for at risk patients under 65 yo. That is not in their recommendation, but clearly is recommended for P23. Their reps not from PC are skeptical of the plan and do not want to mislead doctors and nurses. All others? March!!

Hey Skippy, you are dumber than Trump. P23 is long gone.

You wish you were as dumb and then you would not have to put up with the pharma crap. Enjoy your day; you don't seem to get many.

Congratulate Pfizer, they are helping to empty the AR prison system!

Much like the 50+ Zostavax strategy?

While I am not thrilled about selling Zosta outside of the recommendation age range, at least we are not selling against the recommendation. For an immunizer to use P13 on at risk / under 65, they are not following the recommendation. While in label for P13, it is appalling that Pfizer is promoting use that is counter to an existing acip recommendation.

Just have the doctor ask the Pfizer rep what vaccination sequence to use for diabetic or asthma patients under 65, and have the Pfizer rep show the proof in the recommendations. Their greed and ignorance of acip as well as their disregard for reimbursement will be apparent.

It is either recommend or not. Both are selling off recommendation but on indication. I enjoy how we spin this when it fits our agenda.

I kinda agree with the first guy. No recommendation does not mean a vaccine cannot be used or promoted as long as the label permits (zosta for 50 and up).

I have a strong, different opinion when there is an active recommendation to use one product for specific patients (P23 under 65). When a company ignores that acip recommendation and promotes their vaccine to be used, that shows lack of respect to acip and the committee.

I tried this with a doctor buddy of mine. He said it was hilarious as the rep had no answer. Finally sputtered out that is what Pfizer wants docs to do!

You have been very active with all your hatred and bitterness. What's wrong? Is hubby not giving it to you or what? I bet he can't get it up. Do you know there is a cure for that? It's called divorce. Single men don't have that problem.
Why do you have some much hate? The only reaction you get is pity.

We have given up on Vaccines, no fight left. There was a time that we would protect our market and remain committed to the recommendations. I guess we have all Dialed It Down.

If you are so worried about following the recommendations then sell Zostavax at 60, change the dosing schedule for your beloved Rotateq(because recommendation is different than PI), and sit back and watch as we are close to getting the <65 ACIP recommendation for Prevnar13. We have been working closely with all of the associations while your company has been sitting on its ass. You don't spend any money anymore. No lunches, no dinner programs, no great research, inexperienced reps being hired, back orders, shipping issues, terrible leadership, and an unmotivated sales force. Did I miss anything? Stop trying to knock us and focus on your own problems.

pfizer reps sound dumb and uninformed. They say ACIP as a-sip. They are more primary care than we are
