the complaining from the OBU on this is out of control. The NBU has zero desire to do this but we have to. If you want to complain do so to your managers. The amount of time I've waisted on the phone with my OBU counterpart complaining about this initiative is insane. I had to quit talking to them. Does it suck? I'm sure it does but It doesn't appear to be changing so deal with it. Move forward and stop living in the past and make it work. You aren't that important to doctors, you're a drug rep. They aren't sitting around tallying up when you came in last or thinking about you when you aren't there unless they realize they are out of something and need u to stop by. They're seeing multiple patients a day and you are a blip on their radar. So if another rep shows up 3 days later most of them don't even notice or think about it. And if you show up on the same day by accident laugh it off and move on. Sales is sales. Eye care isn't hard or special. These docs aren't gods they're people just like you and I. Build good relationships, sell your drug and don't worry about what the NBU rep is doing. Reps have partners this isn't anything new. And until it changes just go with the flow and stop spending your energy complaining.

It's you and me, not you and I. Just trying to help you out.

You are replacing your vouchers with a new promotion (1 month free then $10 per month* -with a BIG-ASS "asterisk" beside it )...Looks like I know more about your product than you do...

I couldn't agree more!! Ive been very fortunate to be in eyecare for many years and until now have considered it a specialty position. In the past, If I sold with a counterpart......it was a rep that was FORMALLY trained or had experience in eyecare. These NBU reps can't even answer basic MC questions. Our OBU leadership has turned this division into primary care. Never seen a company change (self destruct) so damn fast! It's sad because X is a great drug. It will be interesting to see how many good OBU reps leave after incentive trips.....

if you think eyecare is a difficult specialty to call on you clearly need a lot of help as a rep. These are the easiest and nicest doctors I've ever called on besides peds. Consider staying in the OBU Bc U probably wouldn't make it with other MDs or with a drug that has more than one competitor or a black box warning associated with it

Shh!!!!!! That was supposed to be the best kept secret in the industry. Yeah, we're selling freakin' eye drops and they call us specialty biotech reps and pay us as such. As the saying goes, "Don't hate the players, hate the game."

But seriously, most of us came from primary care or other specialties. You don't think we know how good we have it? This is the best specialty (not specialty) job in pharma and now that you've seen how great it is with ECPs and access, you understand why we don't care about ever going back to primary care. But trust me. If I had to go back to primary care to keep food on the table, I would be just fine. I've done it before and I could suck it up and do it again.

lol once again the superiority claim. You're being paid as a lower end specialty rep in Launch mode with bigger bonuses for the time being. The PI is one page . And again you have one competitor. I love how the OBU associates neuro with primary care. Yeah that's part of it but have fun with neurologists and adult psychs who deal with multiple comorbidities and multiple competitors that are as much as $200 cheaper. Or try pushing a scheduled medication to pediatricians who are dealing with parents screaming at them and calling them drug dealers for suggesting ADHD treatment. Try dealing with docs who are losing patients to suicide or drug overdoses and talk to me about walking in their office the same day they found out they lost a patient. Try showing up every week without the ability to get a signature or any samples to "add value". Try teaching a doctor what ADHD means and how to treat it and where to place it in the heirarchy of depression, anxiety or OCD. Oh and also deal with the fact that if they accidentally give it to a patient with unknown bipolar disorder it may send their patient to the hospital with a manic episode placing them in the mental institution? Or they could die if they had an unknown heart condition? Try launching a disease state that's never been recognized and getting doctors to change their entire way of thinking and treat it. Get over yourselves , you sell eye drops for a well known disease state and collect signatures as you go. You're not the ones with the harder nor a more specialized position. It's a total joke of a job which is why they brought in the NBU to copromote. If y'all were doing the job you were paid to do you would get it done yourselves. So quit the bitching and deal. Literally y'all are the most insecure individuals I've ever dealt with in multiple years selling pharmaceuticals. It's laughable how you behave. Until it changes STFU and do your job while we do ours. We don't want to call on your docs or take your eye drop job , we're being forced. When we show up the doctors give us an insane amount of time and we didn't even have to go to training to sell xiidra Bc it's not a technical sell. Keep giving yourselves all that credit and get a rude awakening once the train ends and you have to sell a real drug that has actual challenges besides Medicare coverage and a bad taste

Oh and keep drinking that kool aid KK feeds you about being paid good money and being specialty reps and being the "best sales force at shire, the future" she and every other shire drone tell the NBU the same thing. It works well clearly but its a complete lie and a total joke .
