There has been a significant "lag time", however, expect more cases like this to make their way to the courts. Victims who survived, and families of those who did not, are gradually beginning to understand what happened here, overcome their fear of judgement, and/or shame, and assert their legal rights.

I think it is important to recognize that addiction is a lifetime sentence. Opioid addiction forever alters and severely limits, pain management options . Many of these victims have had to substitute one drug, like Suboxone, for fentanyl, and are a long, painful way from being drug- free, if in fact that ever becomes an option.

If you haven't been through this, or watched helplessly as someone you love struggles to regain their life, you are lucky. Reach out and offer a hand, an ear, or perhaps even a shoulder to cry on to those "in the fight" Then just be thankful, and remember, while this could have happened to you..it never should have happened to anyone.

You have no case ambulance chaser.

You offer nothing here. And I'm being sincere, truly sincere, when I say that I feel badly for you. Something in your life, probably starting as a young child occurred that has rendered you compassionless. I don't know what hardened your heart, and only you can answer that (or those that hurt you).

You are correct. I don't have a case. Goodness knows I am not an attorney, so that's a "No" on the ambulance chaser rap as well. Anything else I can clear up for you?

You may be right. But I don't waste much time trying to understand what motivates the hateful responses. At the end, we each have a mirror to face and a conscience to answer. Figuring out how best to square my words and deeds with that reality, keeps me busy enough.

Yes, I understand your point. But I'm interested, and my guess it that no one is interested in him. It's a classic bully on the playground scenario. This bully looks like an ignorant fool to all of us, not strong as is their intent. I'm guessing he is some young, unsuccessful rep who hates their job (with childhood issues)? I'm going out on a limb here ... or maybe it's someone in big trouble, someone with a lot to lose and you remind them with every articulate post? Why do you get to him so much is my biggest question? I hope they never lose someone they love as the means to opening the door to self reflection and compassion.

Well...since you're interested, I believe I have a pretty good idea who this is and why they are so angry with me. Unfortunately, the truth is not going to set everyone free. That's frankly, not my concern.
You have a kind heart and I suspect, look for the best in everyone. That's a gift I hope you never lose!
