"Don't blame your poor sales on a manager, a salesperson can sell without a manager."

Yes yes yes, so very true. Thanks for making such a valid point. This is a specialty sales, force and reps definitely do not need low skilled primary care level managers getting in their way by thinking they can help impact sales. This is the most common misperception by sooo many mid levels like yourself. There is very little that a mid level manager like yourself can offer here other than pushing paper like approving expense reports and other admin type duties. History shows It's a brutal job here being a mid level manager. There has been very high turnover with these managers as all upper Mgmt wants is for them to be mindless drones and to check all the useless company boxes. All the specialty reps want is for mid levels to stay out of their way. There have been some good mid level managers here who have left the company and a handful of good ones still remain but many like you were unemployed cast offs from other companies desperate to keep a job amd make yourself feel needed but reality is you are disposable and really not needed. Think about it, you don't make any visionary decisions for the company and you don't effect the bottom line as you bring in zero sales for the company. Hmmm.... Good luck with that.

I am considering a sales position in the neuro division at Sunovion. Why do you say the turnover is so high there? What seems to be the issue or issues?

See there is a RBM position in the Boston area. Anyone care to share why. Thanks.

Read through this thread and you will quickly figure it out. Poor mgmt and micro Mgmt is the short answer. They try to say this is not big Pharma but their actions show differently.

looking on Sunovion website for jobs and saw two rep positions in upstate NY and also RBM position for northeast for neurology. Is the RBM open position aligned to those reps? If so, what the hell is going on in that area? Numbers that bad? Or is the manager of the RBM that much of an a-hole that people are jumping?

Any helpful insight would be appreciated. Do not want to go into a cluster f.

Eating their young. As a "leader", your are tasked to get the best out of people, not blame them. Not a way to build a high performing team. A way to think of it is "I cause what is in front of me". If they suck, then by definition you suck.

Looser troll boy' is that the manager or mocking me? The one inquiring why the turn over in upstate NY? Just wondering, don't care to argue, I am asking if anyone has insight, I saw a reply about managed care but I checked the fingertip and it's actually decent there with the big ones, IHA and blues, the opening is still posted but I heard 4 or 5 from that team are gone now.

Too many Mindless drone managers in the neuro division. Classic insecure and inferiority complexes who grasp to useless micro Mgmt tactics. Dumb just plain dumb! No mystery why turnover is so high here. The drones are running lots of good reps away. They need to open their eyes and hold themselves accountable for all the turnover!

Is SD still there? She created a lot of the problems by making bad manager hires based on here on personal agenda.

Looks like this division has not changed since I left here. Hiring managers that were the junk of their former companies did not work out so well. They ran off lots of good reps here. Damn shame. This could have been something really good.
