corp MBAs have destroyed this company, too far from the customers, looking at slanted "studies" as facts. Stupid. All the real data shows the value of being close to the customer with people. Diabetes sales is carrying the company - cut the bloated internal corporate MBA network Like the idiot that wrote the previous post

 

I wrote said post Jethro. 1. I am not a corporate MBA and found them to be completely useless, indeed, harmful. 2. The independent studies are clear; reps bring little value. Far and away there are other channels to deliver value if one implements correctly. 3. I sold in Diabetes and Oncology. Ask any oncology rep and they will tell you how useless they really are, since the medical letter requests were stopped in '08 or '09. Why do companies need people in a suit and tie, making big cash, to be a glorified UPS delivery person? I was in a territory where the HMOs kicked all reps out of Endo and Educator offices, well, all providers for that matter. At the end of the day, it didn't matter one iota. 4. I left several years ago and it has been one of the most liberating experiences of my life.

You wrote the analysis? If anything, in having worked at Lilly, you learned one thing and that is taking credit for other's ideas and work. You never wrote the analysis, Jethro. You are no better than those you criticize. No doubt you are and Area Director of Sales or RAM at a minimum.

 

Please downsize Oncology ...they have NO access...and MHS...NO help. Waste of major money. All they do is sit on conference calls...about WHAT?

The worst exec is clearly ADG but being a minority she will go far in this company and cut out the heart of anyone she doesn't care for.... oh yea she will try to make you feel good while screwing you along the way... this person will bring hell to everyone she touches. Just be sure you go out drinking w her but don't try to keep up as she will drink you under the table and then walk all over you while smiling. Bad news ADG

Darren Washington is not one of Lilly's top executives (Thank God) but at the Sr Director level he has the opportunity to negative impact the lives of many people. And that is exactly what he does.

He is absolutely terrible. Not a leader at all. One of the narcissistic people I have ever met. He is ruining any hope the dermatology division ever had of succeeding.

 

No ADG is as bad as it could get. DW just showed us what the Peter Principal is all about. ADG is just plain evil, big difference between incompetent and Evil.
