Ok I am a person that Al had tried to destroy my career. He initially liked me but stupidity on the part of my DM made him have a strong dislike for me. My DM got fired eventually and as I found out later, should have. Terrible, lazy entitled DM who even threatened me after he was fired. All of these FFOs, FFTs,etc had moved me from his grasp. And I think that on a different day in a different place, I could sit down with Al and have a cigar and a glass of wine, and laugh our butts off. Let this man have his time in the sun! We all survived. I went on this sight to see any impending changes because once in awhile you can actually get some real info off of this sight. I was so curious as to why there is a topic on Al.

If you think Al is the only one you are sadly mistaken. This company and every other company (or profession) are riddled with people who are just like him. Al takes it up a few notches, but he isn't the only one. God willing there are lots more good managers than bad. I've been around some bad ones in 25+ years but I also have seen a lot of good ones. The key with the bad ones is to try to ride it out (if you went to stay), until it inevitably changes at some point and you (or the bad manager) moves on and you don't have to deal with them. Easier said than done but the only way to deal with these clowns. (keep your enemies close!)

    How's that lawsuit coming along?

Isn't there a time limit as to when you can file a lawsuit? For example: If I was injured in a car accident ( or was fired for no reason), can I file 5/7/10 years after the fact or is the clock ticking and you have a certain amount of time to file? Just wondering.

I will take an educated guess at the answer, they didn't happen! Lot of hot air, attempt to defame the character of a good man and great leader!

I don't know about being a great leader. In my small dealings with him I found him a bit pompous and it seemed he could be a bit of a jerk if he wanted to be. The poster who said he was going to sue after Al retired was delusional at best. If Al truly did anything worth suing for (other than being a real bad boss) you (your attorney) would sue the company-not the person. Deeper pockets!!!

Whatever happened to Al? Must be knee deep in attorneys defending himself from the lawsuits! lol
He was a di*k- but I doubt anything of consequence happened to him. Probably 50 tools just like him working for the company now.

Same politics with all of these big pharma companies. Record and tape them all; it comes in handy in case you need it. And yes it is legal except for a few states. Do it anyway for backup. It will come in handy and these companies want to settle. However, the recent Supreme Court makes it quite difficult. Years ago was the best.

Wow, this is a really entertaining old thread. crazy that it was brought it back to life. I even found a comment I made over 8 years ago!

In all seriousness, I was neither pro- or anti- Al. I was friends with his brother Matt. Knew them both back in the early 1990s. Seems like a lifetime ago. Now we’re all either retired or about to from either Pfizer or wherever we ended up after FFO, FFT, FFU, etc. I wish everyone well, especially those trying to hang on just a little while longer for full retirement.

The Procardia XL/Diflucan/Zoloft/Zithromax/Norvasc days of the early 90s were incredible. Seemed like everything we touched was golden. Glad I was a part of that.

Why did you leave out Viagra, and what life was like before the Sunshine Act came about? Books were written and movies were made. And neither did a good job of telling the real story.
