Reps are like old beaten wives that stay with their abusive husbands here at Janssen. No? What a horrible culture.

God I hate Janssen and J&J.

It says a lot about YOU, that you still work there and understand that the culture sucks.

But, the culture at all big pharma companies is the same, I can't totally blame you. And in all corporations, you have the same BS.

Janssen is just the cream of the crop of shit companies with people that think they have talent, but would starve to death if they actually had to sell something.

My friend works in an area where there is almost zero access and yet Marti thinks that their team is the best on earth because of how they kiss her ass and bullshit her. The DMs don't teach the reps how to sell. They teach them to brown-nose.

Dead wrong! If you think all big pharma is like this you are wrong. In fact the company you work for was quite different just 5 years ago. This happened when a series of hiring mistakes take place. The habitual running off of talent has lead to a "dumbing down" of this sales organization. Fools hire fools. And so the cancer expands.
Too many good reps and managers have left going to companies that they love. They make more money, with better benefits and most importantly really like most things about their jobs. So don't be misled about the $8500 a year this company puts into your pension when you can create your own with $100k extra you will be making. In the last 6 years I have seen the fools stay and talent leave. Ask yourself which you are.

All are good people. Some are terribly misguided.

Sure, but say you are living in a vacation place like Cape Cod or Maine and you only get a few good months of weather in the year. Yes, you ski in the winter but that summer weather goes fast. Now if you work for a couple of managers who think the same way you do, you take the entire summer off. Memorial Day through Labor Day. So now you're really only working 8 months of the year but making as much as those people who left who are working 12 months a year. So you are really better off if you stay at this company and take it easy and live life to the fullest every day without really having to work.

I left this shit bag of a company with my pension and did not look back. Took another great job with tons of stock options that will surpass J&J pension not to mention sign on bonus. Looking back i was really hesitant to leave because of pension. FYI, do not stay because of pension when a huge raise and stock options are waiting for you with another company. BS. Advice, work 2 days a week and pray your numbers suck, right before you ride with manager go out on medical leave for nice 6 months paid vacation. Take severance package and new job with great experience. YOU will improve your self esteem!! I am gonna wait about 2 more years then send my old manager pics of his wife. Damn I love social media. Nothing better than hooking up with managers wife when I know he is out of town now.

Moral of the story: do what is best for you and forget this company. I did.

Awesome post! I did pretty much the same but my managers wives weren't attractive enough for me. The RBD's wife was always chasing me but she too wasn't up to my high standards.

Well I bet you don't get this week and next week off for Fourth of July break like Marti gave our districts. Lobstah time! Jealous much?

One of these days Marti is going to turn on you Boston posers. That day is coming soon. She knows what you are doing, which is pretty much: NOTHING.

Lmao! Marti called us out at the POA. Boston strong, she yelled for everyone to hear. I loved how she compared our districts to Tom Brady. GOAT, she said, which means for you who don't know: Greatest Of All Time!
We're like one if those big locomotives firing up and once we're fired we'll be running you over in your tracks!

Huge cuts are coming! There will be one left standing in a year or two with one CSO. Invokana is dying very quick. Ride it out and get your severance. Things have really changed over the last five years.

    I would agree!

Marti has virtually guaranteed no cuts for Immunology. As a matter of fact, they are talking about huge base salary increases to keep the talent here. The sales talent here is considered the best in the industry and the company is doing everything to keep us!

This is great to hear! I was offered a 25k higher base to go to another company but I think I'll stay here and see how much I get. If they hear you're getting 25k offers then they'll offer more!

No they won't; they will ask you when your last day is.
