Where did the old Ironwood go?

This place has turned into exactly what they always said it would never be - big pharma. We are drowned with SEIs and our hands are tied with metrics instead of actually being able to run our territories and sell. When SEIs are more important than sales numbers, there is a huge problem. Leaders are constantly panicking now, grasping at straws and jerking reps in every direction ever other week. Management is scared to death of our copromote partners and is more worried about them than our own people. Plus, our marketing department is terrible and we are a reactive company. This is no way to run the company. This is not the company I was proud of for so long. I feel sorry for the Zurampic leads. They were sold a heap of junk and will never get to experience what this company used to be like. We were embarrassed and sad for them when TM told them he tried to kill their deal three times - way to motivate and make people secure in their jobs TM. Don't wonder why people start jumping ship since you've now turned what was a great company into exactly what you all said you never would.

Ironwood never was the "small biotech environment" that it promised it would be. From the start, the culture was shaped by big Pharma metrics and a leadership team that let our co-promote partners run the show. This is a huge reason for the loss of good talent beginning shortly after launch and continuing through present day.

Most of the 6 original IronWoodies are doing quite well with other jobs at different companies!
Yes, we were considered to be the best and the brightest Ironwood had to offer this industry! But when the bean- counter approach took hold, we were let go. This was perhaps the biggest personnel mistake ever made in the pharma industry!
But rest assured, the IronWoodies are now doing quite well! We believe we are still "the best and the brightest" in the industry!

Who cares...get over it. You keep coming back because obviously you miss Ironwood. That's like when an x dumps you but you keep coming back to tell her your happier in your current relationship. If you were really that happy, you would be too busy growing that relationship to reach back and tell an x how much they missed out by dumping you. Move on and be happy where you are!

So sorry, but for me personally, Ironwood was a "mecca" in pharma!
Serving the company, along with the other 5 IronWoodies was almost an honor! We were "Royalty" in the pharma industry! Other pharma company reps would give- up their appointments for us! Yes, we were that highly regarded! When we got out of our cars to make a call, other company reps would move out of the way!
Decision- makers would ALWAYS agree to use our product!
All this is why we became legends! And today we are still legends!

Yes, although we are no longer IronWoodies, we are still legends at our other pharma companies!
And those who remember us from our time at Ironwood, remember our "greatness" as reps!
It is like being in the Hall of Fame. Everyone can read about our "superstar" performances! We were the magnificent 6! Today, the bean- counters have paid the price!
