"WHEN YOU'RE DONE WITH A CONDOM, YOU THROW IT AWAY". This is a most apt description of how Cardinal Management views their sales people. If you believe they care a whit about your welfare, your family, or your future, you become their legal prey. Mostly arrogant white men run this company (I'm a white man, too, but not in a position, fortunately, to exploit and demean my colleagues with impunity) with the sole purpose of lining their pockets with lots of gelt and reams of CAH stock options. They'll squeeze every bit of profit out of your marrow regardless of the damage it causes your health and psyche. The toxicity that flows from the "top" infects many of of our RMs and AVPs, afraid of their own shadows and eager to please their masters. Sacrificing the careers of their subordinates to protect themselves is of sole importance to many of our lower level bosses.

Don't worry about being riffed as you're more likely to leave on your own once you realize how toxic it is to work here. I plan to leave after the NSM hoping this move will restore my health. Just want to make sure the company 401k donation is in my WF account before I give notice.

There are no RIFs? Really? You are indeed a Fu*ktard. You gotta be an RM as you're too stupid to be a Territory Consultant.

Lol, not a troll, an actual current employee who knows the reality is that there was no RIF. Obviously whoever keeps responding so crazily to this thread is either someone who is on a plan about to be fired for poor achievement, or they have already been fired and just can't let go and move on.
Once again, "show me the RIFS".

You sound way too dumb to be a lower level employee. If he wasn't already shit-canned a few months ago, i'd swear the diminutive MK was the author of this post. With Matt's departure, could this propaganda be courtesy of DC or MD? It's alleged these are two of the "smartest guys in the room" so I'll refrain from additional commentary on their leadership skills.

I know of two Territory Consultants who were recently let go--NOT for performance, but because their territories were deemed too small to afford them. These colleagues were let go (can you say RIFFED?) and their territories absorbed by others. One of these reps was a respected Cardinal veteran, but respect is no longer in upper management's vocabulary. Why the furor over lay-offs? Most Cardinal people in my world (sales) leave on heir own before their health and mental stability crumble. Turnover is high at Cardinal, but don't tell anyone.

I don't know if the sales force lay-offs at Cardinal were huge or not in FY17; I just know that there have been quite a few scattered throughout this now ended fiscal year. Territories and Reps have been eliminated in Medical Sales, Opti-Freight, Distribution, and Ambulatory Sales, especially in the later half of FY17. More sinister "lay-offs"/resignations of people have occurred, too, but has been neatly covered up.

Perhaps these layoffs are the result of the fines Cardinal has had to pay of late? During the Orlando meeting have there been any Sved device negative pressure presentations? Did the presenters also tell you that Cardinal just paid a 2.7 million dollar fine for Medicare fraud perpetrated by Innovative Therapies before Cardinal bought them? Check out Reuters from June 30, 2017, and the statement from the U.S. Attorney for Nashville, TN. Cardinal is now holding the bag for this device (which few hospitals have implemented to date) and paying for past indiscretions. Did any of your bosses discuss the January, 2017, 64 million dollar fine Cardinal agreed to pay for not reporting suspicious ordering patterns for opiods? Probably not. I believe Cardinal's Kinray division was one of the entities cited for these infractions. There have been fines levied for other opiod distribution anomalies, not only against Cardinal, but including your competitors, too, Who's going to take the hit for these fines? You guys when they cut head counts and reduce territories to offset these pay-outs. Dust off your resumes when the full impact and integration of Medtronic blows up in everyone's faces.

The fines for the opioid crisis were discussed at length, and guess what, McKesson was fined $150 million, AmerisourceBergin $20 million. Go back to chasing ambulances.

HOW SOON AFTER AFTER THE "STUB YEAR" ENDS SEPTEMBER 30 WILL THE LAY-OFFS BEGIN? OBVIOUSLY, SACRIFICING LOWER LEVEL STAFF AND SALES POSITIONS TO ACCOUNT FOR THE DISASTROUS FY18 SALES PREDICTIONS WILL NEED TO BE INSTITUTED ASAP.. DECEITFUL, PREVARICATING LEADERS WILL PROTECT THEMSELVES WHILE DISPOSING THE DRONES. MAYBE THE MEDTRONIC GUN FODDER WILL BE FIRST ON THE LIST?

Wow, just got totally F'd by my former manager after getting RIF'd! Kept me on through end of last FY just so as to "qualify" me for bonus... nice thought, but they only paid out 30% of the 100%! The depths to which assholes in this business sink is quite astounding. There was so much talk to talking care of folks, being in a business that cares about people, it's total BS from the beginning... from the lying bitch who hired me, to the asshole who stole my bonus $ to help pay for DC's lousy Cordis and MDT deals that are sinking the business.

Do you feel comfortable naming the scum bag(s) who betrayed you? If it's an RM who works in the Northeast, we already have a good idea who it is.. May your future be bright as your past with Cardinal certainly was bleak and full of lies. Perhaps contact a labor attorney to write a letter on your behalf to recoup the money they stole from you? I know others have gone this route and been given monies due them. Sadly you are not alone.

The corrupt culture at Cardinal purports to care for employees and customers alike; those who believe this gibberish are fools.

Cardinal is in dire straights right now. Between the MDT deal, the Cordis deal, NPWT and Ortho, we have seen most of these divisions fall apart right in front of our eyes. Hardly anyone talks about these divisions anymore, there doesn't appear to be any direction on what we're doing with them, yet our RM's still want us to somehow talk about them to our customers? To the above poster, at least you were entitled to a bonus, I'm not even sure how we are compensated anymore! It seems as if corporate pulls the wool over our eyes and changes the comp plan at will whenever they want to not include anything!!!!!!

You are so right on. The various acquisitions you cite will continue to ruin Cardinal's future performance. In fact, our dip-shit leadership has already commented that FY18 earnings will be mediocre at best, though they do not of course blame these acquisitions. To recoup the wasted money acquiring useless divisions, RIFS will continue unabated. why would we buy an NPWT company and have no clue how to sell this technology? Training was poor and almost every one of the original ITI gang is gone. Try penetrating the KCI, Medela, and S&N NPWT market when you have hundreds of other things to sell! Won't happen. Access Closure and Cordis purchases were another massive waste of money. Thanks GB and Don, you are indeed nitwits. You would have thought after a really challenging FY17, as Cardinal did beat the Street's earnings predictions, Dublin would have kicked in at least a good faith1% into our 401k accounts in August. But greed put that hope to sleep. As to screwing over reps with lay-offs while cheating them out of monies due, make sure you tell your customers what a shit hole this place is and how they treat their people. Why not encourage these same customers to move the business you fought so hard to gain over to Medline, O&M, or another competitor? You owe Cardinal nothing in return for being screwed over and cheated as a reward for your loyalty. By the way, like the hopefully forgotten Matt K, DC is also addicted to Cafepharma, so let him know what you think.

It was an inside job. I was not field based. Everyone that got RIF's is getting screwed by DC and his team of white assholes leaders.

DC is one of several vipers dragging CAH deep into the swamp. when will the Board wake up and dispose of these useless bottom feeders? Unless they're in on the "joke" as well--but the joke is on all of the drones who do the work. Since the CAH stock price has been in the shitter for months with no upward movement anywhere on the horizon, maybe action will be taken to clean out those destroying our company? but don'r hold your breath. CAH was about $78 a share a year ago, now it's at $69. Medtronic merger will ensure we don't see $78 again for at least a year, or longer. Too bad I bought so much of it in my 401k. I was duped by the lies like so many of us and bought lots of shares. Maybe large investors will start yelling about needed changes in Dublin before we're back in the $50 range per share??

If You haven't found out by now, you will... the entire SOR team is being RIF'd, and their jobs are moving to Manilla. Yes, you will have the wonderful, English as a second language, people of Manilla quoting your packs. Good Luck! It's only packs!

All so GBs stock will go up a couple percentage points.
