Goals!

    WTF is up with these massive goal increases? I thought we were trying to keep reps from leaving. I got a feeling there may be some departures after the next payout.

    Before then, for those that can find another job. Probably trying to avoid paying severence to restructure. Well that's one way to go about it.

    You forgot ...they don't have to pay severance to Magnifica - that's one of the many benefits of a Pharma co having a contract sales force.

    I don't think it's about paying out less though. I think they just still have unrealistic growth expectations/ and losing 50 plus tenured reps takes awhile to recover from.

    Boo hoo! Depart then...idiot. It cost more to hire and train someone then to actually pay out bonus. Mayb work before 10am and after 2pm. It's Sales, not "thank u for using enterprise, can I interest u in an upgrade to the 4door sedan sir?????"

    You clearly don't know what you are talking about to make such a statement. Some people here are working their ass off and when goals become so unrealistic they are not even attainable, there is a limit to how many hours in a day and overnights away from family a person is willing to do. Get over yourself!!!!

    Been in pharma long enough to know. Yea it's tuff. But u got in the business to make money right? Or u just like the car, good salary and decent benefits to coast? If u are under 40 and this job is too hard, typical of your generation wanting something for nothing. Go earn this money doing??? Seriously so many crybabies -sorry to label but it's true. Don't get butt hurt about the truth. Leave or grow a a pair and make it better. But, it's. A. Sales. Job.

    Oh ok thanks for the advice!!! I will then start working 10-2 which was the comment. When effort doesn't equal results, because goals are not realistic, guess we should just " coast"according to you. Because I certainly wouldn't want to be labeled a "crybaby"!! HA

    When pretty much the whole nation falls short of goals in Q2, no matter the product, it's never very motivating to them have massive goal increases. Typically you can be assured that if your territory isn't performing in Q1 and Q2 by working hard, that your end of the years goals will compensate for that. Not just here, but every pharma company I have been at. The only thing Salix has going for them is their bonus payout structure. It helps those of us tolerate the intense micromanaging and bullshit. If that's gone, more of his seasoned reps will leave. Just facts
