Heard this afternoon, Bob Johnson has been terminated or stepped down as president of Acumed. If he was terminated, can't help but think it was a bad move, if it's health...wish him the very best, and hope he makes a full recovery!

Terminated. Executive Search conducted secretly. Fired and replaced. Ex-Stryker and DJO, will change culture immediately by bringing in own people and getting rid of dead wait in places like marketing and education. See you LD and RE. MM in HR.

A lot of people inside and in the field should be nervous because free loading days are over. Will be a complete overhaul!

Wow... someone with actual experience in orthopaedics and a woman?!?! They may actually become a place where people WANT to work. Now that would be a switch.

People who don't work and brown-nose their way up the ranks need to go. Across all departments!

I always liked Bob, maybe if he had surrounded himself with some better ET members it would have worked out differently, who knows. From what I have seen and heard from the new CEO I think it will be alright. Maybe some systemic problems will get fixed.

There will be big changes over two years. This will include poor performers on the inside and reps who think they're doing a good job with 3% growth.

Good! I really like Bob. It's just that I don't think he was aware of what really goes on in that place. People who don't do anything but still get promoted because they are favored by their superiors. Let's see what happens.

Well, this happens most places... A president has a run of a few years and it is time for them to move on. Will the new president actually have the authority accorded traditional presidents (I.e. Execs report to them not corporate parent)? That dual reporting causes strife, spilling, and infighting. It's counterproductive.

    1. Bob was a coward and made bad decisions.

    2. Doesn't matter who the new president is. Decisions are still made through Colson. She will not be able to ever pay for real, quality talent.

Good luck to her. It will be a fantastic failure on her resume.
