If you care to explain why your response is accurate, your voice might carry a bit more weight. Also, since you are posting on the Jazz board, you are an employee here as well. Are you calling yourself a reject?

 

He's all about himself. Worked with him at two different companies and what I can tell you is he lacks people skills, leadership, decision making skills and a realistic view of the business of oncology as it stands today. He routinely alienates even those who support him and as such has no followers, meaning no one leaves a company to go work with him - hence he cannot attract top talent. His reputation is awful at all the companies he has been at and failed to endear himself to anyone.

Results are results, however based on my history with him, he has little to nothing to do with them either way. He's not good enough to drive results and he's not dumb enough to hurt them. I couldn't care less about his appearance, what I would say is he is one of the least charismatic people and public speakers I've encountered and is absolutely the least inspirational speaker or person for that matter. He does not foster an atmosphere of trust with his direct reports and will point the finger at the first sign of pressure - usually at the sales force or managers.

Look, this shouldn't be news to you, but no one views Jazz as an "'A' player talent" company in the oncology space and as such it makes perfect sense for Jazz to be enthralled with his resume...no doubt he looks good on paper...once you get past that he has little talent, substance, or integrity. If you can, spend some time with him and form your own opinion...I know at least a hundred people that would agree with what is written above.

 

Even with supply fiasco we were still up. David is a driving force in the company and the defitelio and erwinaze hold proved he can overcome any obstacle. Santos's is incredibly well liked by his peers so don't fall for the malice by former disgruntled employees.

 

So not true. Funny, but not true. I do not know of anyone from Genentech who likes him. He is a fraud and those who know him know the truth. Glad you like him...probably explains why you are at Jazz.

 

I shouldn't admit this but I work at Jazz because I can't find another job, I don't work that hard and Jazz is technically oncology. We do have all the rejects of oncology but still on paper it's consistent. The funny thing about Dave is to watch the people who followed him here. They don't have a single chance to find another job so they suck up to him.

Santos is an idiot. He can’t take anyone speaking up or questioning anything. I had the unfortunate experience engaging with this fucking fool and his ego was too big for him to have a serious discussion about strategy. A true loser. He also has the biggest weakness for any leader - jumping to conclusions without understanding intent. Did I say this - “ a fucking tool.”

 

Dave's departure is a loss for the team - his leadership and passion will be missed. And his broad and deep Onc experience will not be easily replaced.

Next to the term “failing up” is a picture of Dave Santos. He’s off to ruin another commercial culture. God’s speed DS. You sucked at Genetech, at Onyx, at Medivation, at Jazz and you will suck at your new company. Will be fun to watch that train wreck.
