I'm still a company man, still proud of NNI, but I'm realizing the Danes use the same voodoo on us that they use on the customers.

IE, take what they say with a grain of salt.

Wait, so you mean our pursuit of the TBL isn't real? We're not trying to put ourselves out of business?

I never bought into that BS. I got into trouble twice with my DBM for refusing to use those corny tag lines, as a a matter of fact. Well, now that the world has seen evidence of price collusion, PBMs and payers have gone all-in on biosim Lantus, we're being exposed as a smaller version of the big guys, made up mostly by pople that used to WORK at the big guys. C4C, taglines and the soon-to-be-defunct DEP aint gonna be enough to prove that we're any better than Lilly or Sanofi, guys. They have pods, we have pods. They push up their prices regularly? So did we.

I remember launching levemir with the oh-so brilliant "light as a feather" campaign.

Ha ha ha...what have I done with my life?

Awful marketing has always been the Achilles heel of this company. Our marketing "gurus" fall in love with themselves and their "clever" campaigns. Always felt we should have more sales people creating.

Actually, all we told them was that Levemir DIDN'T cause cancer. There was a study, that we didn't distribute, that linked Lantus to cancer. If you went further than that, then blame yourself. It wasn't a company endorsed or company wide effort that said anything about Lantus and cancer.

Please tell me you're not in sales. Please. Omg.

Rep: Hey doc, (out of the blue), levemir doesn't cause cancer, but...
    Dr: but what?
    Rep: oh... Nothing
    Dr: huh?
Rep: ask your lantus rep...Now let me seemlessly transition to the Menegheni study

I was balling a shawty that worked for the Madison Avenue agency that came up with that one. I told her it was crap and she laughed and said that they knew it, too. But the joke was on US, cuz we bought it!

Thank you for clearing that up for us, NNI Legal. Your are correct…there was never an official company-wide effort to bash Lantus, at ANY time. Every single presentation we gave back then was PRB-approved, verbatim. In addition, the few rogue DCS that MAY have repeated that Lantus causes cancer mantra (at least two of whom posted in this thread) did it on their own accord. As a matter of fact, this is the first I've heard of the study (which we didn't distribute) or that anecdotal Lantus AE (which we never discussed in the field). OH…and the rogue DCS that repeated that mantra, allegedly? Once caught, they were terminated, immediately.

I know its not as official as signing the CIA but does that post soothe your soul, NNI Legal?

Sorry. I'm not from Legal. But my point was if you bashed Lantus, then you chose to do it. Don't turn around and blame the company for something you chose to do. Too many craybaby victims on here - you do something on your own accord, it bites you in the ass, and then you turn around and blame someone else for it. Sorry. It doesn't work that way.

That's a load of horse hockey and you know it, at least in five boroughs and Long Island.

We were told to go out that Saturday morning to the biggest glargine customers and spread the word, don't worry. Levemir does not cause cancer unlike the recent media reports that show Lantus does.

    Remember the IGF story?
What about the weight gain bamboozle?
What about once a day 70/30?

Sanofi is afraid of their own shadow. they are silent about you know whose 3 kg weight gain is in the PI.

We were told something very similar. But I'm not responding to the company plant, cuz she's just doing her job. But what she doesn't realize is that she's making it worse, because many others may weigh in with similar stories.

You're either a liar or naive. To infer that we weren't told to slam Lantus in this manner is almost as bad as telling us to slam Lantus in this manner. A lot of us hated it, because we felt queazy about bad-mouthing the market leader as a tactic tp improve share. We "chose" (your words) to do it because we were TOLD to do it. I don't anyone that got into trouble for doing this, so I don't know what you mean by "bite us in the ass". I HOPE that you're not putting it out there that if anyone here got caught linking Lantus to cancer, they got into trouble with DBM or RBD?!!
