    there are a lot of small firms popping up while a lot of the older pharma CI firms are no longer in existence, for example Health IQ and others, any insight is valuable.

    Some of these small CI firms could be a job and a paycheck up front, while long term they prove to be slow and very painful career wreckers. Be aware of the tactics some will ask you to do. Question carefully the techniques employed and the records some will as you to keep.

    they should really change the name to SCON based on the acts of at least a few of these con-artists. Or SCAM. I wonder how difficult it was for some of them to keep a straight face when talking about the groups mission statement and ethical standards. This meeting might be the only time they send some who are able to identify who they actually work for. Hanging out together pretending to be normal all the while taking money from some while researching on the same company and taking money for doing so from another. SCAMS galore.

    How about the person running that MASSIVE(ly fake) operation based in Scarface's adopted hometown?

    It's hard to know exactly where to begin with this guy.

    Oh, I know, let's try Fabrication. As in "almost all of my operation is fabricated. I really don't have offices all over the world like my website says I do. Most of those are just VoiP numbers that redirect to my fancy Virtual Office on Edie Brickell Avenue. Aren't I clever? Don't I know how to use technology really well to make myself look like it's more than just me and my consultant marketing guy who helps me redo my website a lot because I have so little actual work to do?"

    Now let's move on to Accuracy. The owner does not like that word. It's just too restrictive and tends to hamper 'story development' too much. "Clients like stories, you know. We shouldn't inconvenience them with actual findings. That would require work. To say nothing of gaps. Oh, no, we can't have gaps".

    Did someone say Credibility? Why yes, someone did. "I really don't mind if more and more people are on to me. That's OK, because I really enjoy telling people about Thought Leaders I know on a first name basis and then absolutely not being able to get them on the phone. Ever. It's a challenge, but I like having to improvise on the fly." Which gets us back to that Fabrication bucket, doesn't it?

    Steer clear of this guy. He's a sham who will waste your time and burn your budget. And if you consult to him on a project, beware. There are examples of consultants not getting paid. Google it.

    Actually, the point is that there absolutely is a lot of difference between firms in this business.

    Why don't these people pay their outside consultants? I'm tired of hearing the BS. Just shut up and pay!

    If you are a client of his don't forget to go back to his reports a few months down the road. You may be surprised that what he predicted didn't happen that way at all.
