    Hi all.

I'm interested in some specific information about what a Clinical Specialist position looks like with Medtronic as I'm thinking about applying. I've done a bit of research but am looking to fill some holes.

About me: I'm currently work in organ transplant as a organ recovery coordinator. In that role I independently clinically manage brain dead organ donors in the ICU setting. This includes rhythm analysis, defribulation cardioversion pacing ect. I then work in the OR in the actual organ recovery. I scrub in assist the surgeons and package the organs. I provide training and inservices and often speak at physician events like grand rounds. Prior to this I worked as a flight paramedic. A lot of cardiac management. I have a an engineering BS and worked in that field before this.

I often work extended shifts and drive to hell and back. I have no issues with call, as long as I have some down time to make up for it.

With overtime I currently make around 125k including a car allowance.

So with that background here are my questions:

    1. Do I seem like good candidate?

    2. After bonuses and a car allowance do you think my pay will be on par?

    3. How is Medtronic about transfers. I'm not looking at moving now but in the future if a spot is open in a different territory?

    4. What type of career growth is there for a CS? Can they move into sales?

    5. Lastly I know you work a lot, that's fine, but is there down time after call? Or are you running non stop?

Thanks for taking the time to read this. I'd really appreciate any feedback.
