Low salary for a specialty position.

not sure how almost 100K is a "low" salary but whatever.

Will they consider candidates with all med device experience? No lab/diagnostics experience.

It's Labcorp. They will consider you if you are walking and talking at the same time.

Seriously, do you know anything about working for Labcorp?

You're lying. 70K base salary. But whatever.

They will ask you why you would leave med devices for lab. Poor judgement.

Ha. Ask the legacy Sequenom reps what their base salaries are.

Well that's going to pose a difficult situation for the sales managers once the integration is complete.

$70K? $100K? Any other feedback? How long ago was the merger?

Clarify the salary with your recruiter. Google the merger date. Now brush your teeth and go to bed.

The base will be $70-$75K. The at plan comp will be $50K. You can make more money in pharma sales. If you are in med device, I wouldn't make this transition.

anyone in this SDE position that can give insight on pros/cons of LCA?

if you are ok with having virtually no control of your income and are fine with a total package of $170k then it's worth looking into. There are a few SDEs making more but not because of anything they are doing. Just right spot at the right time. If you are used to a true commission position then don't bother. If you are older and just want to chill and collect $150-$170k then it's a good consideration.

Job is a shit show. Anyone with half a brain is trying to get out. If you're fine being your employee id number and working for terrible managers, go for it. Todd Waters might think he looks cool in his Vineyard Vines gear but he hates his job just as much as his reps do. Not a great faker.
