Am I on drugs or did this really just happen? I have never heard so much company speak in 90 minutes then I did just now. I am scratching my head going, "do we really know anything?" Disruptive? Innovate? My ask is think differently?
Well now we wait some more...and the clock begins ticking again...

this was nothing but a WARNING call!!! They used every word possible to lessen panic and promote sanity, but this was the nicest way any employer has ever told me that I may or may not need to pack my bags! Seriously, if they have the ability to tell us in 2 weeks- they already know what's about to go down. They're just giving us time to digest it in "piece mail" form instead of all at once.

If you know the past say 5 years, you know what's coming. Kare gave the orders to expand US field force when Andy and most of ET was opposed to that 700+ field expansion. Now both are gone it probably is the next chapter in NNI's journey undoing the past while keeping morale

back to speculation again. "Roles" could mean anything. from 1's 2's or the 3's to obesity to include all positions including rep dm or rbd. The only position that sounds set is diabetes educators. Crazy. A direct Headcount question was dodged and no answer was given other than it's not the Danes this time, it's us cutting.

I was not under the impression DE were safe, the answer was vague and basically he saw value in their positions. BUT I think that would have been the answer for anyone, fill in the blank (with any position) and the same answer would result.

Very vague field to the question I agree. It almost sounded like he has no idea why they are there?

My take on things, and I have been around here for some time, is that the DE force is no more. DCS and EDCS should be safe. H reps- sorry but I think your role is also gone. Again, my opinion and I hate to see good people losing jobs but that would make sense financially for the company.

My take and perception is the exact opposite. Full DCS and EDCS force will be needed for forthcoming sema and fiasp launches. DE force, it stinks, but better to know in advance-- get that Linkedin and res polished up and start networking now.

No way, I say DE and HS safe. DCS and EDCS may not be, there is no reason for 3 people in a POD. Just a guess...

I'm not sure why we have to speculate for the next 2 weeks!

With the constant speculation of "reorganization" over the last two years, it has put moral and motivation right in the toilet. This will be the third time in two years and they are doing it right before another launch. Way to go... The talk after the OurVoice was all about culture and people. They sure know how to take one step forward and 5 steps back. I'll I ask if I survive is that they stop this crazy ride and let us do our jobs for a while without worry of the next time. Semaglutide will be a way better launch with a consistent field force, but nobody listens to the field...

Disagree with you. Might scale down to 2 dcs/pod but there really is no need for the DE's. No other company has them, and they really don't contribute to sales, at least in my area. I don't speak to our DEs, have no idea what they do and as far as I understand they show nurses how to use the pens, which takes 20 seconds.

They'll probably give everyone new territories with 80% new MDs like they did for the last launch...cause nothing says successful launch like no relationship!

Pretty sad they were out celebrating semaglutide and we are worried if we will still have jobs.

NOVO does it again!!! Really? We are going to celebrate and tout the benefits of a drug that hasn't been approved? Why NOT... Paid off with ViCTOZA and Tresiba didn't it? Same shit, different drug.

Disappointed. All I heard is we will decide soon if you have a job. What has happened to this company. 1st to worst.

I hate to see any top talent lose their job but come on people, you honestly think you need 3 primary care reps per territory when you can only see 35-50% of your docs at best?! Reality is the company only would need one rep per territory if it really had to but in pharma fashion they usually make it more cushioned then it really has to be. Don't blame the company for changing with the times. Blame the hospitals who buy out all the practices and then impose no rep policies. Blame the mounds of paper work a doctor has to hire a team 5 to do. Blame the lower reimbursement rates making the doctor see patients faster and double/triple book patients. Before you bash novo for actually making a good business decision based on the market environment, ask yourself one question. If you were building a company and had to hire sales people, would you hire extra, knowing that you really only needed a certain amount?

    very well said.

Well now! A very rare commodity - a Rep who is grounded in reality and sees things as they really are. You have earned my utmost respect. Congrats!

Some of these people at the top are not the brightest people in the world. No common sense. They want to increase morale and invest in people and culture but they stand up on stage saying how they celebrated semaglutide when the reps are now more confused as to what will happen. Not bright

always love when people use this site to exorcise their demons and cathartically discuss what's wrong with the Industry, this multi billion dollar company and the elt. Sound like academia or the elites who direct programming for CNN. "Sales force should be halved, de's gone and home office should have no more than a 6 person headcount like the novo insulin plant"
If anyone on this site actually had even above average intelligence (myself included) or knew shit about anything they wouldn't be on here posting, they'd have better ways to spend their time.
