Before joining this abortion of a company I was with Forest. They laid out similar tactics in an effort to coax people into voluntarly leaving just prior to layoffs. That is coming folks, do not kid yourself.

As to some of the particulars; they can't mandate working hours to you as you are a exempt employee. If they try to lay out 8-5 hours then they can't claim you as exempt. They can tell you what the job requires and you have to comply but they can't mandate the hours.

They think that the reason sales numbers suck is because everyone works 10-2 and goofs off during those hours. They truly do not grasp the reality this job. The distances we travel because of their absurd territory alignments, the lack of access because we lie about that all the time to pacify them and we bring zero value to physicians.

All the idiotic training on your time, just have to do it.

Here is what I will do.

I will drive around and park in front of clinics. I'll lie about my calls. I'll drop off a few samples here and there and have some PA sign for them. Then lie and say I saw everyone in the building. I'll take lunch to a clinic and refuse to talk about sanofi. It's football season coming so that can dominate lunch conversation. I'll get double the amount of food that I like and take it home to family. That will save me grocery money. For every hour I spend at home doing their dumb training and other crap I will spend an equal hour during the day doing something I want to do.

The funny thing is they don't realize this initiative will have the opposite of it's intended consequences.

Don't forget the reality is this is the calm before the storm. Christmas 2016 was mild.

This is classic Sanofi. Management completely fucks up so to cover themselves they lay all the blame on reps and say it's because nobody is doing samples calls at 445pm and we can thank the hundreds of millions spent on Veeva to give management all the micro tactics they need. Throw in brow beating reps with unrealistic quotas and demoralizing the sales force to leave is the objective. This company went off the rails a long time ago and the parade of fuckups like Kaplan and Jez and Ann and Fink helped steer us into the iceberg. I get no samples and my endos are 3 hours in between in each other and docs that will move business aren't on my call plan and I'm punished if I call on them. This is like watching Forrest Gump. My friends in CV tell me it's a total shitshow there also. Real dim RBL and VP bulbs running things like a 7-Eleven. How could we not fail??Sanofi could care less about culture and work life balance. Notice we never were told of survey results ( you know it was bad) so Sanofi answer is to amp things up on sales teams and remind them they suck and give dismal raises and Force rank them intonthe gallows.

This is all true and i thank people for keeping it 100. But what can the reps do about it. They need to be sued period. These are the laziest, stupidest, most evil people running this company. No one can get out of their own way at the top to right the ship because at the end of the day all they give a shit about is self-preservation (they have Lake houses to pay for after all) and passing the buck. I would like to see someone up top stand up and admit their failures and ask us to help them make it better. You are not serious about making sales if all you can do is castigate the sales force.
The truth is they are not serious about the sales, this division is sunk because they have no pipeline, and all leadership can do is hope they can stay on in some other division once this one is sold or collapses outright from the weight of leaderships bullshit. So they are getting busy on making it easy to fire people when the only people that should be immediately fired are the ones making stupid decisions. Look you ass clowns everyone knows how much money Sanofi makes. There are so secrets in the world anymore. We know how much your CEO makes and we know what your revenues and profits are. Stop being scum and let people go with dignity, severance, and hope. We have made you so much money you can buy lake houses and use dollar bills to stoke your fucking bon fires. Go fuck your selves if you think I am working 12 hour days to buy your stupid greedy asses caviar.
