Too much of the time, the root cause of this opioid epidemic plaguing our nation is overlooked or blamed on the wrong people, victims.
Companies like Pernix, whose livelihood is dependent on patients continuing to take opioids and for growth of the company, even more users, ARE A HUGE PROBLEM!
Congress should do whatever is possible to prevent legalized drug pushers from getting richer on the misery of others!

Investors should invest in companies that are making lives better for our citizens, not worse!

It's time companies like PERNIX were shamed for what they are! Doctors don't need to be told by their reps to "use more opioids, but use ours!" or "ours is a better opioid!" Pure greed! Pure EVIL!

what other option do you recommend for dealing with pain, They are used routinely and effectively for the treatment of acute severe pain following trauma, extensive burns or surgery. They are also used for patients with painful terminal diseases such as cancer. In these time limited situations the efficacy of opiates is extensively documented and broadly accepted. In fact, their use has recently grown, in part because providing adequate pain relief is now considered an important standard of care and is required by law in some states.

Quit pretending you or anyone at PERNIX gives a shit about the patient. If they did, they could charge much, much less and still make ridiculously excessive profit. That's a bs excuse. There are plenty of opioids already available other than what Pernix offers that are as or less addictive and "cheaper!" Pernix is a opioid pusher, nothing better. They need to be shut down!

Why not look at the pain clinics and doctors, in addition to the reps. We don't make the Drs write anything. Have you ever been inside a pain clinic?? I can tell you that there is no shortage of customers/patients.

pathetic but predictable that a company managed by former used car salesmen would try to blame pain clinic instead of their culpability as PUSHERS!
Pernix needs to be closed down.

what other option would you take if in need of such pain killers? What if a loved one had third degree burns, broken bones or cancer, would you oppose to using opiates? stop being so critical and judgmental. Of course there needs to be a change, not only in society but also in the medical science, but you have to understand both sides in order to bring about a solution to the problem.

Yeah... Cool Story. The thing you aren't telling people whilst on your pseudosanctimonious tirade is that you are a stoner who is trying to push weed instead of pain killers. So again... Cool Story Bro - go take another bong rip moron
