My DM once rationalized it: life is about kissing ass, he said, especially if you want to make it at JBI.
I told him he was wrong. Life is about KICKING ass, not kissing it. Then I left to do greater things while he stayed behind puckering with stinky lips.
Saw a pic of him and some of my old asskissing team members a while back. They really look beat from all that smooching.
I, on the other hand, look like I just won the lottery. So make up your mind: You gonna KISS, or you gonna KICK?

I say get out asap. They only appreciate you for a short time and then they think you are stupid for staying.

Reminds me of a guy in Boston we called Mark Rimlicker.

Truer words never have been spoken. Countless were treated with an insulting intent by leadership only to leave, gain promotions and return with manager title and twice the pay. I believe this place In IS cancer and anyone leaving should be grateful and never return.

Talked a big game but his best game was finding the right ass to kiss. In this company, that makes you a player.
But when dealing with life and hot chicks, you're just a chump.

He would never make it in Oncology. When they finally found him out he became an IS.

I left JBI a while ago but was wondering if the culture there has changed. I work at a smaller company with a great culture and great pay and benefits but sometimes miss the security for a division of J&J. Is the culture better now? Have there been any significant changes in management or compensation? Serious answers only please.

Are you possibly serious; if you work in pharma you know the horrible culture. No, nothing has improved; it is worse and everyone wants to leave. No company are increasing incentives only taking away.

There are a number of real biotechs that have great cultures, pay much better, and treat reps and managers like professionals. The JBI reps I know that were targeted over the years are all doing so much better with cash and promotions. When I see a Janssen rep from any division, but especially JBI, I always feel bad for them. I know the crap they are enduring and I know my base is 20-30K higher and my quarterly bonuses are something they might earn in a year. More importantly, my DM and RD treat me like a professional.

The reps who aligned themselves with idiot DMs and RBDs are now getting what they deserve. When I see pics of them I see how terribly they're aging!
In the meantime, the reps who left look real fine and happy.

I've noticed that! And another thing you notice is that they are so grossly out of shape. I think it's because they drink so much. Every time I see some of my rep friends on social media, they have booze in their hand. Not good for the waistline!

At this point, selling immunology would be considered a mercy killing. Prediction; not one JBI manager would survive a sale. NOBODY is stupid enough to keep these idiots.

They all run scared. That's the fuel they live on. Fear. They think they have security, but they never really feel that way. They're like scared little mice. I would be ashamed and embarrassed to say I was a manager with this company. Instead, I made a killing as a rep, took the money and ran. Now I have another gig and a life most of you could only dream about.

85K views? Wow! I haven't been here for over a year and it sounds worse at JBI if that's even possible. I have heard from so many colleagues as they have left this nightmare. For those of you still here, why? There is more money and more respect for sales professionals out here.

Are they working their territory part time while driving Porsches?
I hope that answers your question. I’ll stay here and live the good life.

Plus we have Hillary Clinton scheduled to speak at POA I. I have this on good authority from DMs who are close to senior management. What other company has that in their future? Not yours!

Wow!!!!! Things sound really bad there. All I can say is that I am very glad that those fools “ran me off”.

Ha ha ha. They don't realize that they ran us off into more successful lives and careers. I look at all the people who were forced out. One of my old friends left with a boatload of money and lives his life like he's on permanent vacation. Every time I see one of his social media posts I think of the haters and laugh my ass off!

i know one former rep who works in a new industry. He’s on track to make 300k this year. They forced him out and he says it’s the best thing that ever happened to him.
