DON'T QUIT UNLESS YOU HAVE A NEW JOB, YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO COLLECT UNEMPLOYMENT. QMS WILL BE GETTING RID OF ALL MANAGMENT, CSRS, AND PCCS. THIS WILL HAPPEN AT ALL OFFICES WITHOUT NOTICE.

Coming from someone who was let go in the initial round, please know that it will be okay! The amount of stress that has been lifted from my life since not being there is amazing. I miss my co-workers, my patients and my team a ton, but I promise bigger and better things are out there. I wish you all a lot of luck and hope and pray many of you can leave on your own and quickly!

I was in the same boat, and I can't agree with you more. We (CSRs) knew something was going on about a year ago when the campaign was launched to "get every patient billing" -- meaning we worked our asses off so the numbers would look better, cancelling some patient's oxygen in the process. They gave us a lot of OT to do it. So this is no surprise, except maybe the speed of it all.

Fortunately, I found a job at essentially the same pay literally five blocks from my home (no more 45-60 minute commute each way) within three weeks of my layoff. It's very busy, but I felt the stress lifted off my shoulders right away. Miss my team, too (only a few techs and one PCC and Center for the entire region remain as of today). Yes, the severance was lousy, and it is taxed like a bonus, but it is what it is. Good luck everyone!

It's unfortunate. I was part of the learning services team, and we really cared about what we did. Bunch of good it did us in the end! Well, after the Quadrant fiasco I wouldn't want to work for them now anyway, and I wish the best of my few co-workers still there. I'm sure they're very uncertain of their future.

Quadrant will have the PPS call center out of the US in Singapore, how anti-American is that. What good are they to provide jobs in the US, darn shame. All about the money.

There is very little money in respiratory home medical equipment right now. Teijin was a investor that lost money on its investment because the people running the show in the states did not make the needed changes to adapt quickly enough. They just continued to to do the same thing with the same people instead of diversify, change focus, etc. $75.00 for a concentrator? Get off the oxygen and move on to something that will return a profit. Right now Apria is for sale with no buyers interested in paying, American Home patient, and others are being absorbed into Lincare ( owned by a European co. ) Right now private and public investors are taking the losses that small private providers are taking and they can last longer. What the industry should have done years ago when the cuts first started was collecting from the Medicare beneficiary and leaving them with a claim form to submit on their own. That would have gotten congress's attention.

Most of us that were let go in Lexington got unemployment but it was was hell. they messed up the severance and made it look as if it was wages earned. most people finally got their checks but late and some people never got their checks or if they did, they got it a month and half pass when they were suppose to. its ridiculous

There's a lot of truth to this. When Teijin bought PPS (after buying AHS) they had to decide which business model to go with. They chose PPS. BIG mistake. Anyone from AHS that had anything to do with compliance either left or were let go. After that, they couldn't pass JC. AHS was a great company that was reduced to rubble. PPS was nothing but a bunch of MBA's sitting in Novato trying to figure out how to fill their pockets while everyone under them worked their butts off trying to service the patient. As for the whistle blower, good for him! I'm sure there are dozens of former employees that witnessed fraud - I know I did. Sales & CSR's forging signatures on CMN's... Glad this company is no longer. After I left I started sending people to Lincare.

True! I was let go about three years after the merge (no position for what I did). Now I literally have my dream job! I'm an Accreditation Surveyor and couldn't be happier. P.S PPS would never have passed one of my surveys! LOL

PACIFIC PROSTITUTED SERVICES is a good name for the MEDICARE FRAUD SPECIALISTS!

Billed me this month for 18 MONTHS OF SOME SORT OF SERVICES ($1,190.00) WITH NO EXPLAINATION AS TO WHY MERICARE PAID THEM AND NOW THEY WAMT MORE $$$ FROM ME!

Have you employees noticed the overnight oximetry machines being given to the patients, are not to be used for continuous monitoring?
