    I don't know anyone that works more than three days a week, or more than one during the summer. I occasionally drive by my manager's house on my way to the golf course and always see his car sitting in the driveway. Too stupid to put it in the garage.

    Correct &---

    PC sales = cuts
    Hospital = cuts
    Oncology = safe n sound
    Vaccines = no info, should be fine

    The pillars are changing, some crumbling. Those who were informed already left the company in July & August. Truly sad that this company is operating financially with the revenue from a 10 year old product, aka, Januvia. With erosion share somethings got to give hence employee cuts and chopping misaligned franchises.

    incorrect &

    PC sales = no info
    Hospital sales = no info
    Oncology = safe
    Vaccines = no info

    Senior leadership has not released any info about changes. All speculation at this point.

    State mandated layoff notices going out at noon today. Largest downsizing in pharma history!

    Out West we have an ass clown for a DCO, he doesn't do squat, #' s in the shi##er and lifer ole ctl's are griftin. I for one am getting the f out of this shathole. Fn crappy bonus, crappy car, shat salary, no stock, shat merit increase and fn no promotions other than deli slinger. It ain't no joke this place is broke, clown DCO couldn't fing his own azz on a toilet seat. Why don't the ole phuck ctl's take a friggin special assignment allowing someone else to move up? 75% of the ctl's are so old and stale they drink coffee from Vasotec mugs. I'm calling one of the peeps that escaped this hell hole and get a referral. F the western phuckteer, bunch of tool n fools.

    I have heard the same and I knew when I transferred to this division last year that this was a possibility. Guess I'll get my resume out again.

    The DCO is a cool cat but I do agree with your other comments. Ctl's here are indeed stale and would fail miserably at another company. Face it, ctl's are hanging out hoping to eek out a retirement here, some will make it, many others will fail. Merck will continue to erode with these geriatric ctl's, only saving grace is to populate the ranks with younger ctl's with balls and skills, this may also mean hiring from the outside. The mentality of ctl's is so routine, so mundane. Wake up, tcs, reports, field visit, check the box,repeat. No employee development, no engagement and this is why reps really don't give a shit. Great rep gig for the mum's who wake up, don't do their hair, get some sigs, feed the office cows and head home early to tend to homestead duties. Not a real job, everyone just goes through the motions and hangs out. Funny but really sad and we can all see this coming to an end. May be this month, next year or a wee later, but it will end. Soooo sad.

    It is never coming to end...The company has more money than G@d sitting on the sidelines, and the insane middle management layer needs the reps under them to justify their corporate welfare jobs...

    It’s official! Vaccine sales force will be reorganized by year end. Also, Primary Care will go through their own reorganization, combining sales forces, and reducing overall headcount by about 25%. The news will be announced in October. Best of luck to all involved.

    Sure. We have been going to have "layoffs" for months now. Sigh...
