Here I thought from Mike's email we could wear jeans to the actual meeting like they did at his previous company, only to see business casual on the registration. DAMN !!!!!

Ugh I thought the same thing, I thought awesome, FINALLY we can be laid back again, everything was so uptight under KK. We used to be able to wear jeans to meetings here before they came in, I know they do at their past company bc they aren't in front of customers at a meeting. I think it gives a more comfortable and relaxed vibe (as Mike stated in his email). What's wrong with a nice pair of jeans and a button down?

Oh, you really believed that shit? When has anyone in upper management at Shire told you the truth? They tell us what we want to hear then they ignore their own lies.

Just because they are new doesn't mean they're different. Think PS is going to hire anyone that doesn't suck his bobo?

Calm down everyone. Mike is our new boss. Mike says wear jeans. The fact that a 3rd party generated email from the meeting planners state that it's "business casual attire" is irrelevant. There won't be just 1 person in jeans. There will be 200+. Now let's move on to more important topics like comp plans and Medicare coverage.

Is your butt big? Maybe it's just not the jeans....

Amen to that! Very well said!

Amen to that, really looking forward to this new management. Unfortunately our MC and incentive teams seem to be incompetent AF!

Sorry but jeans are NOT appropriate for a business meeting. Sloppy attire equates to sloppy minds. Call me old school but jeans are for weekends not for the business week! SHAMEFUL!

Whatever Kathy! OLD SCHOOL mentality, old school management...that's why you were fired...oh I'm sorry "reassigned". The majority of big SUCESSFUL companies employees wear jeans unless customer facing. Genentech, Amgen, Genzyme, Celgene....others like Apple, Google etc. It's comfortable, not sloppy... If you don't like it, LEAVE! I'm sure many would hold the door.
