I head the same the other day. Only speculation- but Novartis could easily purchase us. They have a salesforce in most of the same spaces we are in. They would have to sell off Talz- but Bari would fit in nice as would our Oncology and diabetes portfolio. They could get rid of most Lilly employees (because we overlap) which would further save money over time. Who knows if it would happen but definitely some synergies. I think for us to get bought first we would have to drastically reduce the number of employees- and guess what we are doing? Interesting speculation for sure.
what do you think we have done over the past 5 years...we have gotten rid of all the studs with the highest salaries and we are in the final steps of getting rid of the rest all the studs and studetts with the huge salaries and who are over 50...no one will be left after the last two final steps. This reduces our pensions along with the biggest salaries. All that is left are the mileneals Sorry about the spelling for the spell check zars. Lilly is definitely looking for a partner as all we have left are these green spotted punks that we can hire 3 of for every stud/student. This is sad but take your money out of all pharma companies as this is the wave of the future and it's only going to get worse with new legislation. DR is getting art for the future this is why every single 50 plus yo will be out within a year and possibly by April like the last 4 years.
