Are the numbers sucking for Entresto regardless of efforts? Or, are the goals too high, again?

Read it again "Cool Aid" drinker I did it to better the business. I did the right thing for the company and the company 1.) doesn't want to acknowledge it as credit 2.) doesn't want to acknowledge it as doing the right thing. Who in their right mind doesn't want to be acknowledged or given credit for their work? Part of this job is self motivation and when that is taken away by your manager why bother caring about anything? This is a meaningless position and as a functioning adult I want to grow and have something meaningful as a job this is not it, you are nothing more than a zombie here. So why would anybody do anything other than just do things for KPI credit if your not going to get the appropriate acknowledgement? See this is part of the problem you long time employees have. You are so confused in your madness that you can't distinguish right vs. wrong, respect vs. disrespect. You are so used to just running around checking KPI boxes, which actually does nothing for bettering the business and completely counter productive, you have no idea what building a sales territory even means. Let me give you a metaphor that a Pharma Rep can understand using fantasy football. You get to draft a quarterback, who do you choose? A "rookie" or someone like Brady, Rodgers or Rothlesberger w/ experience. You pick Brady or someone w/ experience! And what do you do w these guys? You let them do what they have done for years, put up points. You don't try to change the throwing style, the play book, no you use his experience to benefit your team. And you certain don't tell them you are looking for experience and then treat them totally differently that is totally disrespectful to them and their experience. That's speaking out of both sides of your mouth not to mention down right proving you are a fraud. To finish, It's your / NVS mentality that is making this business lag not all the experienced people that have already left or going to leave or just don't give a rats $$$ about the business anymore, why should they. I've never been around so many losers who think they are winners in my life.

The sad reality is that many--I may say most--pharma reps earn the reputation of smarmy loafers. I know too many who have absolutely no idea how to work a full day. Even worse, they brag about how little they do. This is de-motivating to anyone who truly thought they would build a meaningful career. No wonder no one cares

I hear you and you make sense, unfortunately this is not a career anymore. Could be a good meaningful enjoyable job if leadership didn't talk out of both sides of their mouth but selecting Pharma as a "career" choice in 2017 is a very bad idea.

This:.... "I've never been around so many losers who think they are winners in my life." Especially ABLs and Regionals. Florida is a breeding ground.

I've consistently been at the top in terms of sales within PDI. Got decent bonuses. Result from Novartis ABL? Absolutely Nothing positive!! The ABL just keeps harping about speaker programs, etc. In fact, I got so sick of hearing nothing positive, so I patted myself on the back. Result? Comnent was there's still a ton of business to get.

Just remember they are "losers" who think they are "winners". They can't get out of their own way. Just keep your head up and don't let them sabotage your efforts and confidence. PDI management is not sticking up for anyone so you have to take care of yourself.

This company has always been known for picking up the refuse techniques that other companies have discarded because they didn't work. Case in point? The bands. Other companies tried it and "disbanded". Yet, we came behind and tried it. Now, we got rid of them after it blew up in our faces.
    Novartis never learns, never changes.

Management acts like Positive Tension is new and innovative. Tens of other companies have used this and it's just another recycled idea that someone on the top embarrassingly brought to the table along with STEM. These upcoming meetings are chalk full of positive tension and reps are hoping to get caught in a hurricane before these role play sessions. Doctors are seeing less and less reps these days and PT will get more doors closed.

I think its pretty clear we just dont have the right type of people in this division. This is a sales person's drug and for the most part we don't have people that know how to sell. Check the thread about programs and all the complaining. Good people figure out how to get it done.

Here is one of those Losers that think they are a winner. They actually think this is sales. They wouldn't last 6 months in a real sales job.

Good luck increasing your sales 125% in order to get a bonus, let's see how good you are now.

Anyone who thinks this is a "sales person's drug" is an idiot. You can sell with FDA compliant statements, NVS approved language and ABL direction. Your input as a sales person is non-existent.

In other words, a "sales person" is not needed once the company figures out how to deliver digital ads automatically to doctors. Oh wait...

Ahhh sounds like you been in the industry for just a few years. Since 1990 (I was in middle school btw) there has been fear that the rep position will be eliminated. Hasn't happen yet.

What's a "real sales job" and why are you not there?

Maybe I am, Maybe I'm just a troll finding humor in your silly posts about how Pharma is a sales job. Maybe I sell Real Estate where I have to hunt my own business every month to make a buck. Maybe I'm in B2B Advertising trying to convince a business owner to do a marketing plan w/ their hard earned money. But one thing is for sure, because I was once in Pharma for 20 years w/ the same company so I know the difference between Pharma and actual Sales, enjoy the cake job because you are going to get an eye opener at some point. Pharma is dead, Companies don't value experience anymore they haven't for a long time and in 2017 you are nothing but a trained monkey saying the same thing over and over and that ain't sales, that's a advertising commercial.
