Looking at one of the FRM positions. Can anyone shed light on what the day to day of this position is like? Are you managed similar to a sales position or more autonomous? Comp structure?
Apparently you are an outsider otherwise you'd have some baseline understanding of the ancillary roles here. If you think you're coming on here to get insight, you're not going far in the process. You'll be better of finding a Genentech employee who is an FRM on LinkedIn, try connecting with them and then try getting in touch with them......a lot of work but that's how it works here.

funny how a little pressure can get some FRMs to be proactive after moving at a snails pace prior. Everyone needs to demonstrate their value including the CSs.
