    Let's Play A Game:

Who should buy Keryx? And Why?

I used to think Genzyme (S/A) due to all of the cross pollination of leadership. But it is evident that the leadership at Keryx is terrible and Genzyme must have been thrilled they were able to replace these hacks without having to buy them off because Keryx was dumb enough to hire them.

I'm going to guess Shire- they have awesome Rare Disease divisions and this would be on their wheelhouse.

    A person can dream...

Obviously someone who has no clue about shire. Shires rare disease divisions are a complete joke. The CEO is turning it into primary care sales and they are in trouble. Not sure why anyone would think keryx would fit with shire. Shire has no interest in renal sales. After all they don't even bother marketing fosrenol.
    Most obvious suitor is Fresenius

Obviously you think Shire would not be a potential suitor because obviously the CEO is obviously turnIng Rare diseases into Primary Care.

Obviously you don't understand that companies that are focusing on rare disease - regardless of their sales tactics - will have deep pockets.

I'm hoping Genzyme buys this place ASAP!

Sanofi/Genzyme to fend off generic siege, however, no indication that mgmt and BoD gave any urgency.

That's funny- yet sad. Unfortunately - this may be the most accurate post so far. The hedge funds will short the stock - company become worthless. They win and all of us lose.

Management dead weight, not deal makers. Sit around and wait for script numbers to come in. Company will never announce anything beyond attendance at regurgitated analyst conferences.

Oh the west is just the start. About to run throughout the country. Its difficult when you've got a spineless leader at the Area level

Didn't the AD meet with these people before they were hired? He must have some eye for talent? If you're in the West, watch your six. Who in their right mind would accept a position in California after this massacre?

Those people were blindsided. No idea the bomb was being dropped. Sleep with one eye open on the left coast.

Please tell me what happened in California. I am supposed to be interviewing for a Dallas opening with Keryx.

My current job is borderline unstable and I don’t want to get downsized but I also don’t want to go to a company and immediatley be downsized either.

I’d be grateful for a response.
