I can't wait for the launch meetings, the last meeting before the company splits, I mean succeeds!!!! We should hit homeruns on this one.

Not sure where it'll be, I hope it's not at RTP, I don't want any cold sandwiches and meat again. I hope they splurge for somewhere nice.

I look forward to the stage with cool visual effects and smiles from senior leadership, I really get excited to see them get excited for us to sell a T4 drug while they live in lala land. Don't worry we will get it done!!

I look forward to role playing, I'm sure we will give silver stars out to the best. I'll try learn how to sell from them. I know my manager has the PI memorized as we will. I remember Breo asthma PI launch, boy was that fun selling with a PI to doctors!

I look forward to kicking my partners around since I have the new drug, get the F out of my area I will say when they ask if I'm there that day. I'll soak up all the calls and drop any drug I need to. I'll have all 18 elliptical( isn't this a workout thing) and no one can stop me but insurance companies!

I look forward to fake excitement, fake smiles, backstabbing, and cheap food they force on us......This. is.Pharma!

    JM hearts SR!!!!!

Millennials hate the big company rules and operations. All companies are similar in training and launches. They must not be aware of that fact. This one is living in denial and hates his job. I would highly recommend quitting and finding a nice quiet job with no goals and no incentives. Perhaps a lower skill set has you in a box and you don't know what to do or handle your life. Just find a nice 8-5 job in a booth and wait until retirement.

Launches use to be 1st class and the envy of every industry, they now have become sad thanks to people like you. Let's spruce it up again and make pharma fun. People like you have ruined this industry over the years and continue to suck the soul out of this job.

Post #1 is spot on! The next posts are in denial! Yes launches use to be great, but that company no longer exists

The words "use to be" is sadly often attatched to GSK!

Gray hair says they were fun and treated us like royalty, often going-home gifts on your bed after the last banquet.......such as leather travel bags, etc. , BUT, they did work us hard and pressure was there to role play in front of others.

We also had great launch meetings in nice cities. Many times with 1/2 day free time on company expense account.......Phoenix , Orlando, etc. Many times also expensive gifts to reps, often mailed to the homes. Also pressure during meetings to be on our toes during workshops !

The best part of the meetings is gathering with a group of realists after all the forced and fake activities and discuss how to really sell the drug. The role plays can be helpful for practice, but the meeting role plays are all based on out of touch reality 10 minute stand up calls which RARELY happen as you train to do them. If we practiced realistically I wouldn't be writing this, but it's comical to see the out of touch office people tell us like they think it is.

The good old days......we all knew those fake workshops were just to appease the management, so we smiled and obliged, and laughed at them behind closed doors.
