    This thread is too funny! I stopped on this board to eat my Stiolto lunch when I came across this thread that was having the same conversation GSK was having 7 years ago. Only they called their program "patient first" vs GTM. They also created worthless positions like the HSBS and KAMs. They too called on institutional accounts thinking they would deliver formulary wins and above brand resources like Care Management Central.(I believe BI's equivalent to Chronic Care Strategies". Well guess what GSK let that S&@t storm go on for four years until they woke up one day and realized that net sales from the institutions was not paying for the Reps salary and accounts did not want the above brand materials because it had their name all over it and in most cases inferior to what they could find else where. All 500 hundred were let go in 2015.

    Hopefully, for those who want to be around longer than a couple of years, BI's upper management is smarter than GSK's and will SE the only valuable Rep is the Rep with direct customer(HCP) interaction!

    Pfizer and Merck tried it to. BI hired their displaced leaders to recycle the model here. Put a fresh coat of paint on it and sell it as something else. It is working ok in some areas (for now), but not all. We'll get another year or two out of it.

    I think Pittsburgh is the exception not the rule. I am a HSBS and I don't have this same experience. The GTM positions are not perfect, but it is working and changes are made all the time to make it better. I'm sorry the people of you region are so unhappy. It doesn't have to be that way. Maybe better leadership is needed there.

    I'm glad GTM is working. I have seen a difference in my reps. They are all contract employees that are young and impressionable. They get after it and get excited with the enticement of Starbucks gift cards. Watch out with rock stars like this I will be a shoe in to be the new RD over Pittsburgh region.
    GTM = Get That Market.

    so now you are holding HSBS to reach and frequency. 15 targets per TA. What a bunch of horses#%€!!!! Face it. GTM is a ridiculous model. The only thing that could possibly be even more moronic is to require HSBS to have 45 targets that they give you (fake) reach and frequency on considering most have zero access. I'm certain this will fix the problem!! Give me a break. Go back to the old model and give TBS back their specialists before it is too late. Relationship loss is occurring faster than you can track. Irreparable

    She is gone, so now you can do it all yourself or apply for the HSBS position and see how easy it is. You're an ass. And good luck with your KAM.

    You sound like a very bitter TBS who did not get the HSBS position you applied for.

    Does anyone have any idea what the next big strategic move will be?

    It is a very ineffective attempt to stop the wheels from falling off. The old hospital reps still want to be hospital reps, and the reps that got promoted don't know how to be hospital reps. BI says give them another list so they have something to do all day. Funny thing is, as usual, the list makes no sense to anyone other than the list maker.

    I left BI 6 months ago..funny thing is nothing has changed. All you losers still complaining about the same stuff. Alcohol and pills will make your lives more tolerable if you stay.

    You are correct. Same soap opera. You can pick up a year later and miss nothing. SLT recycles the same scenes over and over. Same exact strategy with a new name, new titles or a new brand. The only difference is, the lead actors are getting more ruthless, careless and heartless. Pills and alcohol dont even help much anymore.

    Those lists are bogus and will either be revised, or eliminated. There is a lot of negative feedback about them. Very unrealistic metrics.

    And you sound exactly like what the poster referred to! An HSBS hiding behind a charade of lies and STARS. Get a real job please

    there are too many KAM and HSBS. That's a fact. They have not produced. From a P&L you have to drop the dead weight.

    I have been far removed from the company for some time. I check back in every once and a while to get a good chuckle at all you miserable souls. I didn't get laid off, I left on my own. This is for pure entertainment.

    Anyway, I left for a different industry all together. No more pharma for me and let me tell you. I love my life. Look at yourself in the mirror. Bickering "this person works less than me" "he/she doesn't do anything and gets a nicer car", I'm gonna let you all in on a secret. You all don't do shit. BI is primary care garbage. It's over folks. Doctors don't give a shit. You all try to justify your work by claiming who has a better relationship. A good drug moves itself and managed care moves a drug. You are a worker squirrel. The cattle. The sheep. You're the companies B!tch. Wake up and move on before you have 20 years of pharma and no one will hire you. It's a miserable industry with everyone back stabbing each other.

    I was purely entertained by hoping to reach through to some of your thick skulls with some truth. Now go do some stars and prepare for a ride day you losers.

    You, my friend, are absolutely correct! The smart ones know it. We also know we are here for the money. This is why I don't take any of it too seriously. The ones who do, are too dumb or brainwashed to know better. Lord help them in the "Real world".
